Huawei has officially introduced the Watch GT 5 series in China, following its recent global launch. This series features two models: the Huawei Watch GT 5 and the premium Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro, both offered in various sizes. These smartwatches provide notable enhancements in health tracking, fitness functionalities, and overall build quality, making them suitable for casual users as well as fitness aficionados.
Specifications of Huawei Watch GT 5
The Huawei Watch GT 5 comes in two sizes, 41mm and 46mm. The smaller model has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, while the larger one boasts a 1.43-inch display. Both variants are crafted with 316L stainless steel bodies, ensuring they are robust yet lightweight. Users can choose from a range of strap materials, including metal, leather, and woven options.
When it comes to health monitoring, the Watch GT 5 is equipped with Huawei’s TruSense technology, which enables heart rate tracking, blood-oxygen level assessment, and sleep analysis. The watch also features upgraded sleep apnea detection and women’s health tracking. Additionally, it introduces several health monitoring modes, including a new emotion tracking feature that records users' emotional states, though this will be limited to China.
Enhanced GPS and Battery Life
The Watch GT 5's GPS capability has been significantly enhanced, boasting a 40% improvement in route accuracy, a 30% boost in distance accuracy, and a 20% enhancement in pace measurements. This improved positioning system is particularly beneficial for outdoor activities such as running, cycling, and hiking.
The 46mm model provides up to 14 days of battery life with regular usage, and up to 9 days when the Always-On Display (AOD) feature is active. The 41mm version offers 7 days of battery life during normal use or 5 days with AOD enabled. Both models support wireless charging and can be fully charged in just 60 minutes.
