A new Huawei smartphone identified by the model number PSD-AL00 has recently been granted 3C certification in China. This certification highlights that the device supports 66W fast charging.
New Details from Tipster Digital Chat Station
While the certification doesn't reveal much else, tipster Digital Chat Station has provided additional insights. The phone is likely part of the Nova 13 series, with all models in this lineup featuring a 5G-capable Kirin processor. The Nova 13 Ultra is expected to be the priciest model in the series.
Earlier rumors suggested that the Nova 13 phones would be equipped with the Kirin 9010 SoC, which supports 5G connectivity. For reference, Huawei’s latest flagship models, the Pura 70, 70 Pro, 70 Pro+, and Ultra, all utilize the new Kirin 9010 chip.
Advanced Imaging Technology
Moreover, the Nova 13 Pro and Ultra models are rumored to include Huawei’s XMAGE imaging technology, which is currently exclusive to the flagship Pura and Mate series phones.
The entire Nova 13 lineup is also expected to boast a 1.5K resolution and offer an enhanced selfie photography experience, featuring dual front-facing cameras.
Software and HarmonyOS NEXT
On the software side, the phones are anticipated to run on HarmonyOS NEXT. This operating system is likely to debut first in the Huawei Mate 70 series smartphones.
HarmonyOS NEXT represents a significant shift for Huawei as it completely moves away from Android app support. Huawei is working closely with major companies in China to develop native apps for this platform, with over 4,000 native apps already available.
