Huawei introduced a new tablet in its MatePad series today (6th August 2024). The latest addition to the MatePad Air lineup boasts enhanced specifications and a taller display compared to its predecessor.
Huawei MatePad Air 2024 Specs
To revisit, the previous MatePad Air was launched in May 2023. The new model comes with several upgrades. It features an all-metal premium design, weighing only 555 grams with an ultra-slim 5.9mm body. The materials used are corrosion-resistant to combat hand sweat. Additionally, there is a Soft Light Edition that offers anti-glare eye protection, mimicking a paper-like writing experience. The screen includes a 144Hz refresh rate, 2.8K resolution, P3 wide color gamut, 3:2 aspect ratio, up to 1000 nits peak brightness, and HDR capability.
Huawei utilizes nano etching technology combined with a nano magnetic coating to provide soft light eye protection, minimizing 99 percent of ambient light interference on the tablet's surface. The aim is to deliver a comfortable viewing experience. The MatePad Air supports the Huawei M-Pencil (3rd Gen) and Star Flash keyboard. The company has targeted creative users in their video teasers. This tablet is powered by a substantial 10,100mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging.
