The reported postponement seems to stem from the slow adaptation of the new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system and the integration of the latest Kirin 5G SoC. HarmonyOS NEXT, the official successor to HarmonyOS, was a major highlight at HDC 2024. Its introduction on the Mate 70 series would signify the first official consumer deployment of the new OS.
