Following recent leaks about the standard Mate 70, a trusted tech leaker, Digital Chat Station, has revealed new info about the specifications for the Pro version. This leak provides insights into the phone's display, camera, battery, and other features.
Huawei Mate 70 Pro Specifications
The Pro variant is anticipated to boast a large, curved LTPO display that measures 6.88 inches, offering a resolution of 1.5K and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. It will also include 3D ToF technology for enhanced facial recognition security.
To enhance safety, the Mate 70 Pro is likely to come equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. This should provide better security and durability than the optical solution found in the Mate 60 Pro.
Camera Enhancements
The camera system on the Pro version seems to be quite remarkable. Reports indicate it could have a 50MP main sensor with a sizeable 1/1.3-inch design and a variable aperture. The primary lens is speculated to feature either the OV50H or the newer OV50K40. The latter is notable for being the first smartphone camera sensor to incorporate TheiaCel technology, utilizing LOFIC capabilities.
Furthermore, there could be a substantial upgrade regarding telephoto functions. The Mate 70 Pro might include a 50MP periscope lens with a 1/2.5-inch sensor, which would allow for 3.5x optical zoom and a special telephoto macro mode. This would represent an improvement over the 48MP periscope camera found in the Mate 60 Pro.
Additional Features
Moreover, the leak hints at support for both wired and wireless charging, as well as water and dust resistance. Although the exact battery capacity remains a mystery, DCS suggests the use of a silicon battery with a capacity of less than 6,000mAh.
It's important to point out that Digital Chat Station has since removed the post containing this leak. The original post included a disclaimer stating that the information was sourced from the supply chain and might not be entirely accurate.
