Huawei FreeBuds SE 3 Launch: Premium Sound at Affordable Price

Huawei has caught everyone off guard by introducing the FreeBuds SE 3 even before their anticipated release next year. These new earbuds come with major improvements in design, performance, and overall user experience while remaining budget-friendly.

Features of Huawei FreeBuds SE 3

The FreeBuds SE 3 boasts a modern, compact look with a leather-like charging case that comes in Streamer Gold and Interstellar Black. The earbuds have a dual-tone appearance, featuring shiny surfaces with matte grips in either white or black with silver details.

At a lightweight of only 3.8 grams per earbud, the FreeBuds SE 3 focuses on comfort. Each earbud is equipped with a 10mm dynamic driver, providing a frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz for clear and stable sound. With an IP54 rating, these earbuds are resistant to water splashes and dust.

Impressive Battery Life

One of the most impressive aspects is the battery life, giving up to 42 hours of total usage when combined with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge can yield 3 hours of listening time, and a full charge allows for 9 hours of uninterrupted use. The earbuds include a 41mAh battery, while the case contains a 510mAh cell, needing about 60 minutes to charge completely.

Huawei has incorporated physical buttons on the case for manual pairing, but users can also pair automatically by simply opening the case. The earbuds are equipped with enhanced touch sensors for easy controls, such as double-tapping to play or pause music and triple-tapping to skip songs.

Connectivity and Pricing

With Bluetooth 5.4, the FreeBuds SE 3 offers stable connections and low-latency performance, making them ideal for casual listeners and gamers alike.

The price for the FreeBuds SE 3 is set at 199 yuan, but they are currently available for pre-sale at a discounted rate of 179 yuan (around $25).

In related news, Huawei has also launched the FreeBuds Pro 4 globally, priced at €199. These earbuds support a transmission speed of 2.3 Mbps, deliver 48kHz/24-bit lossless audio, and are equipped with an 11mm dynamic driver along with a micro-planar tweeter. They also include advanced active noise cancellation (ANC), a voice transparency mode, and high-quality noise cancellation features.
