Honor recently took to Weibo to celebrate the impressive performance of the X50, which was introduced over a year ago. The company claims it has sold more than 15 million units since July 2023, despite choosing not to release the X50 internationally. In addition, Honor has revealed the upcoming launch date for its new model, which is expected to be named the X60 5G.
Upcoming Launch Details
The promotional images indicate that Honor plans to launch the new model on October 16. The device will have a sleek profile, measuring just 7.98 mm in thickness. Furthermore, it appears that the X60 5G will keep the round camera design seen in its predecessor. However, a tweet from @RODENT950 hints that a different model in the series might sport an octagonal camera setup and even support satellite connectivity.
Specifications Leaked
In other news, leaks suggest that the X60 5G will feature a large 6.8-inch display, providing ample room for a substantial battery. The dimensions of the device are reported to be 165.98 x 75.8 mm, housing a 5,800 mAh battery with 35 W wired charging capabilities, which will support a 1080p resolution at 120 Hz. Moreover, it is rumored that the X60 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, alongside a 108 MP main camera, 12 GB RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage.
