Honor has just announced its intention to broaden its smartphone range with the new Magic 7 RSR. Before its official debut, tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has provided some important information about the Magic 7 RSR and a new GT model.
Honor Magic 7 RSR Insights
A teaser has recently revealed that the Honor Magic 7 RSR is expected to launch in December 2024. It is anticipated to maintain the design style of its predecessor, featuring a unique hexagonal camera module. According to the information from DCS, the Honor Magic 7 RSR will have a strong camera setup, which includes a 50MP main camera with adjustable aperture for better light reception in various conditions. Additionally, it will come with a powerful 200MP periscope telephoto lens, allowing for impressive zoom options. The third camera, probably an ultrawide lens, is thought to be a 50MP sensor, similar to what is found in the Magic 7 Pro.
The Upcoming GT Device
Regarding the GT series, the tipster suggests that this device might compete with the leading brands like Redmi and iQOO in the high-performance smartphone market. Expected features include a brilliant 1.5K straight display and a larger battery. It's likely to be powered by last year's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Given its specs and the expected launch date, this device is set to replace the Honor 90 GT and will compete directly against the Redmi K80 series and iQOO Neo 10 series. More information is likely to be released soon.
Meanwhile, Realme has introduced its flagship performance phone, the Realme GT 7 Pro. This device is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and starts at a price of ¥3,599 (~$506) in China, making it an affordable option for gamers who also need a reliable daily smartphone.
