Below, we’ve included a compiled image showing the expected hardware of the Win 5 and how it is different from the current Win 4 (priced at $1,489.99 on Amazon).

Configurations and Specifications

GPD has announced that it will launch at least three different configurations of the Win 5 globally. The company shared on X that this new gaming handheld will come equipped with a Ryzen AI Max 385 APU, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage. Alternatively, there will be a version with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which has double the CPU cores compared to the Ryzen AI Max 385. Performance Enhancements

The Radeon 8060S integrated GPU within the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 is expected to provide a significant performance increase over the Radeon 8050S that AMD uses in the Ryzen AI Max 385. However, GPD has expressed uncertainty about whether it will be able to offer the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 128 GB of RAM through Indiegogo.

Instead, the company is promising the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with options of 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM and storage capacities of 2 TB or 4 TB. GPD seems to be aiming to launch the Win 5 later this month on Indiegogo. As part of this, they have already set up a preview of the device’s campaign page. Unfortunately, detailed pricing and availability information is still not available at this time.
