leaks and rumors are still popping up about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is eagerly awaited. Recently, the Camera FV-5 platform shared important information about the camera setup. As the top model in Samsung’s Galaxy S-series, the S25 Ultra is set to feature a quad-camera arrangement, an enhanced chipset, and the iconic S Pen support.
Camera details uncovered
The newest certification listing on Camera FV-5 has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a 12.5MP camera. This camera will have a focal length of 23.2mm equivalent, an actual focal length of 6.3mm, and an aperture of f/1.7, which means it can capture a lot of light. Based on these focal lengths, it seems that this is the 200MP main sensor, which uses 16-1 pixel binning to produce 12.5MP output, similar to last year's model.
Of course, the main camera will have support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and OIS to ensure stable video recording and sharp images without motion blur. The listing states that the main sensor has a wide ISO range from 12-3200, and a manual exposure range from 1/11,977 to 1/6. Furthermore, it indicates that both JPEG and DNG picture formats will be supported, along with options for auto and manual focusing. However, the Camera FV-5 listing mentions only one sensor, and additional details about the other cameras are still pending.
Additional features to look forward to
Aside from the camera improvements, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature notable upgrades in other aspects too. The device will come equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in all regions, enhancing performance and efficiency. There are also rumors that a new 16GB RAM option may be available, providing more multitasking capability compared to the 12GB option found in the S24 Ultra. If this is accurate, it will primarily enhance the processing of AI features directly on the device.
Another significant alteration is the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It appears almost certain that it will include rounded corners, similar to other models in the series, making it easier to hold. Dummy units indicate a slightly narrower overall profile, which again enhances comfort when gripping the device.
