Galaxy A36 Leaks: High-Quality Renders Show Note 10 Design

It was only yesterday when the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G popped up on Geekbench, and now, just one day later, we've got the full scoop on its design. Thanks to the trusted tipster OnLeaks, along with Giznext, high-quality images of Samsung's latest mid-range smartphone have been unveiled.

A New Design

While many thought Samsung would stick to its usual design style, this time there's a change — finally! The Galaxy A36 ditches the usual separate camera rings for a pill-shaped, vertically aligned camera island on the back, which is quite a shift.

Design Elements

The look of the A36 brings back memories of the classic Galaxy Note 10, and it’s nice to see Samsung refreshing its design after a long break. The phone is slightly taller at 162.6mm compared to 161.7mm, allowing for a slightly bigger 6.64-inch screen, up from 6.60-inch. Additionally, it’s becoming a bit slimmer at 7.4mm (down from 8.2mm), although the camera bump does add to the thickness, bringing it to 9.6mm.

We still don’t have any info regarding the battery size, but let’s hope the thinner design doesn’t compromise battery life.

Performance Insights

When it comes to performance, things are a bit unclear. The recent Geekbench listing hints that the A36 could be equipped with either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the 7s Gen 2 chipset. If this is correct, it would mark another supplier switch for the A-series, following the Dimensity 1080 in the A34 and the Exynos 1380 in the A35.

The front of the device keeps the traditional flat display with a centered punch-hole camera. The bezels appear to be slightly uneven, but overall, it’s a design we’ve seen before. Since there’s no side fingerprint reader, it’s reasonable to assume it will be built into the display, similar to its predecessor.

Just remember, these are merely renders, so the final product may differ a bit. Plus, there’s still some time before the Galaxy A36 makes its official debut. The A35 launched alongside the A55 in mid-March, so it’s safe to expect a similar release period for both the A36 and A56.
