Casio is getting ready to launch four fresh G-Shock watches in Japan, marking the release of the DW-5000R in December. The new models include the DW-5600RL-1JF, DW-6900RL-1JF, GA-110RL-1AJF, and GA-2100RL-1AJF. There had been talks about these watches for a while, and the prices have finally been revealed.
Pricing Details
The Casio G-Shock DW-5600RL-1JF will cost ¥14,300 (around $95). It comes with standard features such as a 1/100-second stopwatch, timer, and alarms. An LED backlight makes it easier to see the display in low light, and the watch can last up to five years. The Casio G-Shock DW-6900RL-1JF is priced the same at ¥14,300 (~$95). It has comparable features but uses an electro-luminescent backlight and has a shorter battery life of two years.
Features and Specifications
The GA-110RL-1AJF is the priciest of the bunch, with a retail price of ¥20,350 (~$137). It is expected to offer extra features like magnetic resistance and a more precise 1/1000-second stopwatch. Additionally, it includes world time, an LED backlight, and a two-year lifespan. The GA-2100RL-1AJF is likely to be priced at ¥17,600 (~$117). Similar to the GA-110RL, it allows users to select from different world time zones. This watch features a double LED light and has a slightly longer battery life of three years.
Availability and Alternatives
These new G-Shock watches showcase striking red accents around the digital display, similar to the upcoming DW-5000R. The DW-5600RL-1JF, DW-6900RL-1JF, GA-110RL-1AJF, and GA-2100RL-1AJF will be available for purchase in Japan starting December 1st. However, it’s uncertain if and when these models will be introduced in other regions, including the US.
