First Global Laptop with 4320Hz PWM OLED Display Launches in Sept

Honor is preparing to unveil its slimmest foldable smartphone, the Magic V3, on the international stage at the IFA in Berlin, set for early September. Alongside, the company will also introduce the MagicBook 14 Art laptop at the event.

Honor MagicBook Art 14 Features

Having already made its debut in China last month, we have full details about what the MagicBook 14 Art laptop offers. Let's delve into its specifications.

The design of the MagicBook Art 14 is a central focus. Crafted from aerospace-grade materials, it is both thin and lightweight, measuring just 1cm in thickness and weighing 1.03 kg.

The laptop sports a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with a 3.1K resolution and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts a peak brightness of 700 nits and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, ensuring vibrant and accurate colors.

A standout feature is its status as the world’s first OLED laptop equipped with 4320Hz ultra-high frequency PWM Dimming, aimed at reducing screen flickering and mitigating eye strain.

Performance and Options

In terms of performance, users can select between two processor variants: Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7. Despite its ultrabook category, Honor has incorporated dual fans for effective heat management. The laptop supports up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Security and audio features are also noteworthy. The MagicBook Art 14 includes what Honor labels a “Smart Eye” magnetic webcam, allowing users to physically cover the camera when not in use for enhanced privacy. On the audio side, the laptop is equipped with six professional-grade speakers, enhanced by Honor’s proprietary spatial audio technology.

Pricing Details

In the Chinese market, the MagicBook Art 14 is priced starting at 7,999 yuan, approximately $1,110 for the Intel Core Ultra 5 version. The Core Ultra 7 model is priced at 9,499 yuan, or about $1,310. As usual, international pricing will likely be higher, but this serves as a general guide.
