The POCO F7 Pro is designed for the global market, whereas in China, it will be known as the Redmi K80. Both models share identical specifications. The POCO F7 Pro’s model number is “24122RKC7G,” with the “G” signifying its global market designation. Conversely, the Redmi K80’s model number is “24122RKC7C,” with the “C” indicating it is exclusive to China. Essentially, the Redmi K80 will be rebranded as the POCO F7 Pro for international markets.
POCO F Pro and Redmi K series devices will be named after famous painters. The POCO F7 Pro will carry the codename “miro,” which also applies to the Redmi K80. Both models are being developed under this shared codename, inspired by the Spanish painter Joan Miro, born in Barcelona on April 20, 1893.
Expected Specifications and Launch Date
The POCO F7 Pro (Redmi K80) is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 used in the POCO F6 Pro (Redmi K70). Other specifications are still under wraps. While the exact launch date is not yet confirmed, the POCO F7 Pro is expected to be introduced in May 2025, aligning with the May 2024 launch of the POCO F6 Pro. The Chinese variant, Redmi K80, is expected to make its debut in November 2024.
