Epson has unveiled its latest Expression XP-8800 photo printer in the United States. This new printer from the company uses a 6-ink color ink system, and it includes a built-in scanner and copier. You can create family photos, greeting cards, and more in a borderless print size of up to 8.5" x 11”.
Fast and Versatile Printing
According to Epson, the printer can produce high-quality images from your laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone in just 10 seconds of processing time. It features a 4.3-inch color touchscreen for easy navigation. Moreover, the printer is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to manage it directly through the Epson Smart Panel app.
Convenient Paper Handling
The printer includes two separate trays for plain and photo paper, accommodating up to 200 sheets in total. It also has a rear feed for specialty papers. The Expression XP-8800 utilizes 340-series 6-color Claria photo HD ink cartridges, which consist of one black, one cyan, one magenta, one yellow, one light cyan, and one light magenta. One downside is that it does not allow the use of third-party cartridges or ink, so you must rely on Epson ink.
Impressive Specs
This model boasts a maximum printing resolution of 5760 x 1440 DPI, with an ISO speed of up to 9.5 ppm for color prints. For black and white printing, the resolution is 720 x 720 DPI, and the ISO speed reaches up to 9 ppm. Other features of the Expression XP-8800 include wireless printing with Wi-Fi Direct, automatic double-sided printing, borderless printing, scanning, and copying. However, it does not support wide-format printing. Epson also provides a Creative Print mobile app for smartphones, enabling users to design custom cards, stationery, and more, which you can print directly from the app with just one tap.
