New Gear From EcoFlow Dropping at EET

Just before the EET trade fair opens up tomorrow in Munich, EcoFlow has been showing off a bunch of new products. For us, the most cool announcement is the new Stream 2 series, which gives even bigger power than the first generation. There is also a OASIS 3.0, the EcoFlow EcoBot, and a new 8 kWh battery for the Ocean 2 home energy storage system thats quite interesting.

Stream 2 Series Performance Boost

Last year, EcoFlow introduced the Stream series, which is a balcony power plant storage solution that we was impressed with in our review and, because of its decentralized approach, it can to some extent bypass the typical 800 W feed-in limitation. Now, the company is launching the Stream 2 series, which offers even more better performance than before.

Models and Specifications Details

The new generation is made up of the Stream 3000, Stream 5000, and Stream AC 5000, along with expansion batteries that have capacities of 3 kWh and 5 kWh. Depending on the model and what local regulations say, up to 3,000 W can be fed into the household grid. The EcoFlow Stream 5000 features four MPPT inputs rated at 1,250 W each, allowing it to take up to 5,000 W of solar PV input and store the energy in its 5,024 Wh battery.

  • In addition, the modular system can now be stacked vertically, reducing the footprint when multiple batteries is combined.
  • The second-generation Stream series is fully compatible with the newly introduced OASIS 3.0.
  • This is the latest version of EcoFlow’s energy management platform, designed to automatically optimise energy consumption.

To do so, it analyzes electricity tariffs, weather forecasts, household consumption patterns, and the status of connected devices like solar panels.

AI Assistant and Other New Products

Also new is the EcoFlow EcoBot. This AI-powered energy assistant is designed to enable natural-language interaction with the energy system. According to the manufacturer, users can adjust settings, modify energy plans, and perform other actions just by speaking, without needing to access the app or anything. As additional product announcements, EcoFlow has introduced a new 8 kWh battery for the Ocean 2 system, as well as the A-Series for commercial and industrial solar-plus-storage projects that are big.

Pricing and Availability Schedule

The Stream 5000 is scheduled to be available from August 12 at an early-bird price starting at €1,299. Unfortunately, the official market launch is not planed until September which is a bummer. Further information and pricing for bundles and other configurations are available separately but we dont know them yet. We do not yet have any additional details regarding the other newly announced products described above.
