EcoFlow has revealed the Glacier Classic, a unique device that serves as both a portable power bank and a refrigerator. This handy gadget is capable of recharging an iPhone more than twelve times while keeping your drinks and food cold during your outdoor adventures.
Versatile Charging Options
The Glacier Classic is an upgrade based on EcoFlow’s expertise in creating portable power stations with rechargeable lithium batteries. These batteries can be charged from anywhere in the world using solar panels. In addition to solar charging, the device can also recharge through a standard AC outlet or a USB-C connection. If you want to charge it from your car, there’s an optional EcoFlow 500w or 800w alternator charger available for use with 12V car power sockets.
Impressive Power and Cooling Capabilities
This eco-friendly device can deliver up to 100 watts of power via its USB-C ports, thanks to its internal 298 Wh battery. This means it can recharge an iPhone about a dozen times or a Macbook Air around five times. On top of this, the Glacier Classic doubles as a refrigerator that can keep your drinks and meals chilled. It comes in three sizes: 35, 45, and 55 liters, capable of holding between 58 and 90 cans. The smallest version can maintain a temperature of 39 °F (3.9 °C) for as long as 43 hours, while the larger models can do so for nearly 39 hours. Furthermore, the refrigeration compartment in the bigger models can be adjusted to freeze food or split for both freezing and refrigerating purposes.
User-Friendly App Features
You can easily manage all settings and track temperatures for up to a week using the EcoFlow smartphone app. This app will also notify you if the temperature goes above 41 °F (5 °C) for more than 10 minutes, ensuring your food stays safe and cold.
Pre-orders for the Glacier Classic will start on EcoFlow’s website on April 18, with a full launch happening on April 25, both on their site and on Amazon. The prices for the 35L, 45L, and 55L models are set at $799, $899, and $1199 respectively. However, early-bird prices will be available from April 25 to May 25 at $699, $799, and $899 respectively.
