Meizu Unveils World’s Lightest Full-Color AR Glasses

Meizu has recently introduced the Meizu MYVU Discovery AR glasses, which the company claims to be the world’s lightest mass-produced full-color AR glasses. With a design precision comparable to sports cars and a lightweight build, these AR smart glasses from Meizu are both fashionable and user-friendly, making them suitable for all weather conditions.

Cutting-Edge Features

The Meizu MYVU Discovery AR glasses utilize a photolithography machine to customize three Micro LED displays with an impressive brightness rating. These displays are the world’s smallest AR all-in-one display, measuring just 0.4 square centimeters. The glasses also feature a Colored Light Engine that does not have any side bangs, resulting in a lightweight design. Additionally, Meizu has incorporated the world’s first mass-produced resin optical waveguide lens, ensuring that the device remains fashionable, lightweight, and suitable for all weather conditions. Despite its lightweight nature, the optical quality of the lens is on par with glass lenses.

Industry-Leading Design

Weighing only 71g, the Meizu MYVU Discovery AR glasses have been launched as the industry’s leading full-color AR glasses. The lens body is made from aviation-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, accounting for more than 50% of its composition. Furthermore, the AR glasses feature a hollow design that reduces the number of lightweight parts and are assembled through an impressive 839 processes.

These smart glasses come equipped with the FlymeAR system, which transforms them into intelligent personal assistants for various work scenarios. According to Meizu, the Meizu DISCOVERY AR smart glasses are already available for pre-sale, priced at 9,999 yuan (~$1,400). Meizu plans to recruit 520 top players from around the world to test the glasses.
