Infinix has shared several details about the upcoming Infinix Note 60 Pro on a teaser site. This mid-range smartphone is said to sport a brand new design that closely resembles the Apple iPhone 17 Pro.

    Design Similarities

The new Infinix model features a flat frame and a wide rectangular camera module that nearly spans the full width of the phone, echoing the style of its Apple counterpart. Additionally, it comes in a similar orange hue. A standout aspect of the Note 60 Pro is its camera module, which includes a dot-matrix display capable of showing notifications like incoming messages or even the weather. This secondary screen bears some resemblance to the Glyph Matrix display found on the Nothing Phone (3).

    Unique Features

There’s a camera shutter button located on the frame, which strikingly reminds one of the touch-sensitive Capture Button seen on the iPhone 17. However, the specifics of how this feature will work remain unclear. • Design Secrets of the Moto G57 Power’s Unique Aesthetic

Design Secrets of the Moto G57 Power’s Unique Aesthetic

    Key Takeaways

    1. Motorola offers smartphones in vibrant colors, collaborating with Pantone for unique shades.
    2. The Moto G57 Power features a leather-like backplate design that enhances color presentation and feels high-quality.
    3. Thoughtful color selection includes both subtle and bright options to appeal to a wide range of consumers.
    4. The camera module design is integrated smoothly into the phone’s body, avoiding a bulky appearance.
    5. The Moto G57 Power has an IP64 rating for dust and water protection, ensuring durability at an affordable price.

As tech reporters, we have seen plenty of ideas for smartphone casings over the years. Various companies have tried out a wide array of finishes, such as materials that resemble paper, glass, ceramic, titanium, leatherette, and even wood.

    Vibrant Colors

Motorola stands out as one of the few brands that boldly introduces devices in bright colors, creating a fun alternative to the usual white, black, and grey choices.

For many years, the company has teamed up with color experts at Pantone to feature shades with catchy names like “Cloud Dancer,” “Mocha Mousse,” and “Peach Fuzz.”

    Innovative Design

Motorola has also developed a consistent backplate design that has a leather-like feel, allowing their smartphones to seamlessly showcase Pantone colors on their backs.

After our latest review of the Motorola Moto G57 Power, we want to highlight what makes Motorola’s current design style so unique.

The first aspect is, as mentioned before, the color choices: Instead of just the usual black, white, or grey, the Moto G57 Power comes in Pantone hues like Corsair (a medium blue seen in our review unit), Fluidity (a turquoise), and Pink Lemonade (a bright pink).

    Thoughtful Selection

It’s a smart move to offer a color that is appealing yet not too loud, along with two brighter options, making sure there’s a choice for everyone. The leatherette backing does not show fingerprints and appears very high-quality due to its subtle texture.

We also appreciate how the camera module has been incorporated. Other brands often have camera modules that stick out significantly from the phone body because they are a bit thicker.

Motorola solves this by using a graceful curve to smooth the transition between the camera area and the back. The part surrounding the lenses is finished with the same materials as the rest of the backplate.

    Solid Protection

Even though the Moto G57 Power is quite affordable, it still boasts an IP64 rating, which ensures good protection against dust and water splashes. The chassis also proved to be very durable during our trials, showing no significant flex.

However, one downside of Motorola’s uniform design approach is that it can be challenging to differentiate between individual models. For instance, you can only tell a Moto G06 from a Moto G86 (available here on Amazon) by examining the details closely, despite there being around a $150 price gap between the two.

Read our comprehensive review to discover more about the Motorola Moto G57 Power and what additional features the device offers beyond its appealing design.

    4. The Pro Max model may be rebranded as the Poco F9 Ultra, featuring high-performance components.
    5. The Redmi K100 series is expected to launch in China around September 2026.

The Xiaomi 18 series is likely to come with several enhancements, with a key feature being the introduction of 200 MP cameras, as reported by Digital Chat Station. It appears that this significant upgrade will also be included in the forthcoming Redmi K100 series.

    New High-End Competitors

In a recent update, Smart Pikachu mentioned that Xiaomi aims to improve the standing of the new Redmi K100 series among premium smartphones. This series is set to debut with three models: K100, K100 Pro, and K100 Pro Max.

    Camera Features Uncertain

Out of these models, it’s probable that only the Redmi K100 Pro Max will come equipped with the 200 MP camera. However, details about whether this will be a primary sensor or a periscope lens remain uncertain.

As a point of comparison, the Redmi K90 Pro Max (12/256 GB currently priced at $670.55 on TradingShenzhen), which was introduced as the Poco F8 Ultra in international markets, comes with a triple camera setup featuring 50 MP each. • Samsung Galaxy S27 May Revive Key Camera Feature After Apple

Samsung Galaxy S27 May Revive Key Camera Feature After Apple

    Key Takeaways

    1. Apple is expected to introduce variable aperture technology in its iPhone 18 series, potentially enhancing photo quality.
    2. Samsung is also exploring the addition of variable aperture technology for its Galaxy series, but it may not be ready for the Galaxy S26 series.
    3. Samsung is collaborating with camera module producers like Samsung Electro-Mechanics and MCNEX to develop this technology.
    4. Variable aperture allows camera lenses to adjust light intake, improving photography in various lighting conditions.
    5. The implementation of variable aperture in Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series depends on the technology’s size and compactness.

There have been claims that Apple is planning to introduce variable aperture in its iPhone 18 series. This development has led to speculation that Samsung might also incorporate this feature into its flagship devices, as suggested by a recent report from Korea. Whether this feature will actually appear in either company’s smartphones is yet to be determined.

    Samsung’s Efforts

The information comes from ET News, which has translated details from Korean sources. These sources indicate that Samsung has reached out to several camera module producers to create variable aperture technology for smartphones. Two firms, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and MCNEX, are already working on this request. The report mentions that Samsung is “very dedicated” to adding variable aperture to its Galaxy lineup. Given the timeline, it’s unlikely that this technology will make its way into the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Instead, the Galaxy S27 series might see this camera enhancement. Earlier reports suggested that Samsung might include variable aperture in the Galaxy S26 series, but that no longer appears to be the case.

    Apple’s Plans

Turning to Apple, the iPhone 18 series is projected to debut in September this year with variable aperture technology. However, it remains uncertain whether this feature will be limited to the Pro versions. Variable aperture enables the camera lens to modify the amount of light that reaches the sensor, potentially enhancing photo quality in both daylight and nighttime conditions. While this will mark Apple’s first foray into this technology, Samsung has previously implemented it in their Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S10 models, which were released in 2018 and 2019.

    Future Possibilities

The feasibility of Samsung utilizing variable aperture modules in its Galaxy S27 series will depend on how slim and compact these technologies can be made. For now, this is purely speculative, and neither Apple nor Samsung has confirmed any work on this feature for their upcoming smartphone generations.

In recent times, Vivo has adopted a unique strategy for its foldable devices that is quite different from its traditional candybar smartphones. In contrast, the previous year’s X Fold5 was released only in select markets, unlike competing models from Honor, Samsung, and Google.
