    A year back, Hyperkin introduced the DuchesS controller, which is a modern take on the Xbox Controller S from the early 2000s. However, this controller only became available for purchase in August 2024. Initially revealed in Black and White, Hyperkin has now shared that a third color option will soon be available for the Xbox-licensed controller.

    New Color Announcement

    The upcoming color is a see-through green that corresponds with the Halo: Combat Evolved Xbox console that launched in 2004. It will be marketed as the Special Edition Greenhaven DuchesS and will keep the same price of $49.99 as the other color variants. Hyperkin hasn’t specified when this new color will be available, but many are hopeful that we won’t have to wait another 8 months like we did for the original controller.

    Features of the DuchesS

    The DuchesS is a wired controller, similar to the original Xbox Controller S, and it features a detachable USB-C cable. It includes Hall Effect joysticks that have zero drift, bumpers that replicate the functions of the Black and White buttons on the original Xbox Controller, and impulse triggers that offer improved tactile feedback.

    Inspired Accessories

    Hyperkin is not the only company to launch a see-through green accessory inspired by the classic Xbox console. Last November, 8BitDo introduced an Xbox-themed version of its Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard and the Retro R8 Mouse. Both of these items will be available for purchase starting on January 16.

Similar to its predecessor, this card is set to be massive, sporting a 3.5 slot design. It will require extensive cooling to manage its hefty power consumption of 575 Watts. This appears to be an Inno3D iChill X3 model.

    What We Still Don’t Know

    Sadly, we can’t view the rear of the box, where all the interesting specifications are typically found. Nevertheless, we are aware that DLSS 4.0 will launch alongside the GeForce RTX 50 series. However, if you’re eager to get your hands on a GeForce RTX 5090, you might have to be patient. The GeForce RTX 5080 is scheduled to be the first available in late-January. There’s no indication of when the RTX 5090 will be released, but it’s likely to be a few weeks later, at a minimum.

    Essentially, the new RG34XX is simply a visual update, similar to the RG35XX SP that came before it (currently priced at $79.99 on Amazon). As expected, Anbernic is sticking closely to the heritage of the Game Boy Advance (GBA). This time around, they’ve launched a ‘Glacier’ version of the RG34XX, taking inspiration from one of the GBA variants that Nintendo also named.

    Some might say that Anbernic’s Glacier finish is a lot whiter compared to Nintendo’s version, which has a slight blue hue.
