  • Compact 65W Adapter: Perfect Replacement for Nintendo Switch 2 Dock

Compact 65W Adapter: Perfect Replacement for Nintendo Switch 2 Dock

    Key Takeaways

    1. JSAUX is showcasing a new 6-in-1 gaming dock and stickers for Steam Machines at CES 2026.
    2. The OmniCentro Charger Dock for the Switch 2 functions as both a power adapter and a TV dock, supporting 65W charging and multiple connectivity options.
    3. It supports 4K at 60Hz, which is lower than the Switch 2’s potential 4K at 120Hz, but offers a compact alternative to the official dock.
    4. The dock is compatible with various devices, including laptops, phones, and tablets, making it versatile for gaming on larger screens while traveling.
    5. The current price of the OmniCentro Charger Dock is $39.99, discounted from its regular price of $45.99.

JSAUX is keeping quite busy this week at CES 2026. The company known for gaming accessories is showcasing new stickers for Steam Machines and a 6-in-1 gaming dock designed for the Switch 2. However, the highlight is the OmniCentro Charger Dock for the Switch 2, which was previously announced and is now up for grabs.

    Compact Design and Functionality

Similar to the Genki Covert Dock, the OmniCentro Charger Dock is a small power adapter that doubles as a TV dock for the Switch 2. It features a USB-C port that supports charging up to 65W, along with an additional USB-A port for connecting accessories and an HDMI port to link the Switch 2, Steam Deck, or other compatible handheld devices to a TV or monitor. This means when you’re on the go, you can leave the bulky Switch 2 dock behind and still indulge in gaming on a larger screen from nearly anywhere.

    Limitations and Comparisons

One drawback is that it only supports 4K at 60Hz, even though the Switch 2 can actually output 4K at 120Hz. In contrast, Genki’s Covert Dock 3 will allow for 4K at 120Hz, but it is not yet available for purchase in the US. Nevertheless, if 120Hz gaming isn’t a priority for you, the OmniCentro Charger Dock provides a cheaper alternative for playing Switch 2 games on bigger displays while traveling. It’s significantly smaller than Nintendo’s official dock and is compatible with laptops, phones, and tablets too.

    Pricing Information

The OmniCentro Charger Dock for the Switch 2 is priced at $45.99 on JSAUX’s website, but right now, it can be found for $39.99.

  • MachineGames Developing Wolfenstein 3 and New Multiplayer Game

MachineGames Developing Wolfenstein 3 and New Multiplayer Game

    Key Takeaways

    1. Machine Games is reportedly developing a third installment of the Wolfenstein series, following previous successes like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
    2. The studio recently released a DLC for Indiana Jones titled “The Order of Giants” in September 2025, while the last major Wolfenstein entry was Youngblood in 2019.
    3. Speculation suggests that Wolfenstein 3 will conclude the story arc of B.J. Blazkowicz, which is believed to be part of a trilogy.
    4. Jerk Gustafsson, head of Machine Games, expressed ongoing interest in the Wolfenstein franchise and hinted at a deeper narrative yet to be told.
    5. Machine Games is also working on a multiplayer game inspired by Rainbow Six Siege, but it’s unclear if it will be connected to the Wolfenstein universe.

The studio known for its highly praised games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, along with earlier hits like the Wolfenstein series, Machine Games, is said to be developing a third installment of Wolfenstein. Additionally, the studio based in Sweden under Bethesda is also creating a multiplayer game that incorporates elements similar to “Rainbow Six Siege.”

    Recent Releases and DLC

Machine Games recently launched its last title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, at the end of 2024. This game was followed by a significant DLC named “The Order of Giants,” released on 4 September 2025. However, the Wolfenstein franchise has not been a top priority for the studio, as the last significant entry, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, came out in 2019.

    Expectations for the Future

It seems reasonable to believe that Machine Games is working on a third game in the Wolfenstein series, especially since a live-action series based on the franchise is in development at Amazon.

Wolfenstein was rebooted in 2014 with Wolfenstein: The New Order. Due to its favorable reviews, a sequel was greenlit, which launched in 2017 as Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. However, the latest game in the series, Youngblood, did not receive a warm welcome from fans, leading many to think that Machine Games returned to the planning stage.

    Story Arc Conclusion

New speculation hints that Wolfenstein 3 will conclude B.J. Blazkowicz’s story arc, which has long been thought to be part of a trilogy by Machine Games.

Last year, Jerk Gustafsson, the studio head at Machine Games, discussed the ongoing interest in the Wolfenstein franchise during an interview, stating:

“The first game is very much about B.J. and how, obviously, he understands that the Nazis have won the war, but it’s also a very personal journey for him. But at the same time, he meets Anya, and he starts to see that there are other things at play as well, not only fighting Nazis.”

He also reflected on the sequel, saying, “And then, moving into New Colossus, then we move into a wider group of people around you, being part of the resistance, something bigger and something also like a family to you, but at the same time, you’re also preparing to start maybe your own family.”

Gustafsson elaborated, “I think that’s important to say because, at least I hope, that we’re not done with Wolfenstein yet. We have a story to tell.”

    New Multiplayer Title

Moreover, Machine Games is developing a multiplayer game reminiscent of Rainbow Six Siege. It remains uncertain whether this game is connected to the Wolfenstein universe or if it will be a completely new intellectual property. Machine Games has not yet confirmed the development of a third Wolfenstein game or the new multiplayer title.

Epic Games has launched its first PC game giveaway of 2026. At the same time, the platform has also provided a similar offer for Android and iOS users. Although the mobile version shares the same high rating on Steam as the PC version, it is a distinct giveaway compared to its desktop counterpart.

    Upcoming Giveaways

Moreover, Epic Games has revealed plans for giveaways happening next week. As is typical, the store is keeping fans guessing about what’s coming next for its mobile free game program. However, it has confirmed that two titles will be available at a discount from January 15 to January 22.

    Free Games Announcement

  • New Retro RPG Launches on Steam with Discount and 10 Classes

New Retro RPG Launches on Steam with Discount and 10 Classes

    Key Takeaways

    1. Transition to 16-bit Style: Dungeon Antiqua 2 shifts from 8-bit NES graphics to a more detailed 16-bit SNES style, enhancing the visual experience.

    2. Expanded Job System: The game introduces ten distinct classes, including five advanced roles unlocked through gameplay, along with a new skill milestone system that allows skill sharing across jobs.

    3. Enhanced Exploration Mechanics: Players can explore six unique dungeons with a vision mechanic affecting map visibility and enemy encounters, while minimizing lengthy cutscenes for a classic dungeon crawler feel.

    4. Tailored for Handheld Gaming: The game is verified for Steam Deck and includes features for portable gaming, along with a strong data transfer system for carrying over progress from the demo.

    5. Challenging Difficulty Level: Early reviews highlight the high difficulty, requiring strategic gameplay, which may be daunting for casual players but appealing to veterans of classic RPGs.

On January 7, 2026, Shiromofu Factory, the developer, launched Dungeon Antiqua 2 on Steam, marking a transition from its 8-bit NES roots to a more intricate 16-bit SNES style. This sequel brings significant enhancements over the original 2024 release, featuring improved character growth and exploration of the game world. Right now, the game is on sale with a special introductory price of around $7.64, available until mid-January.

    Expanded Job System

The gameplay structure of Dungeon Antiqua 2 features an upgraded job system, now boasting ten distinct classes, compared to its earlier version. Players start with five basic roles, including the Fighter, Thief, and Priest. The other five advanced classes, such as the newly introduced Archer, are unlocked through progressing in the game. A notable change from the original is the new skill milestone system. Instead of relying solely on levels for power, players gather skill points to hit specific targets that unlock special abilities tied to each job. Moreover, skills learned can be used across various jobs, meaning that switching a character’s role doesn’t reset their basic level.

    Enhanced Exploration Mechanics

Exploration has been expanded to feature six unique dungeons, utilizing a vision mechanic that determines map visibility and enemy icons based on character stats. This allows players to either avoid dangers or engage in battle to gain a strategic edge. The developers intentionally minimized lengthy story cutscenes, preferring to utilize dialogue and environmental storytelling, thus recreating the feel of classic dungeon crawlers from the early 1990s.

The game is also verified for Steam Deck (currently priced at $795 on Amazon) and includes features tailored for handheld gaming lovers. The game files have a special executable for certain portable consoles, found in the local game folders. Additionally, a strong data transfer system enables players to carry over progress from the pre-launch demo to the full game using a secure backup code. Shortly after the launch, on January 8, a patch was released to fix rare freezing problems and improve English localization, like renaming some inventory items for better understanding.

    Feedback on Difficulty

According to early reviews, the game presents a high difficulty level that may challenge players not familiar with classic RPG mechanics. Success in battles relies on the strategic application of debuffs; for instance, physical attacks against boss-level enemies typically result in minimal damage unless the Mage in the party uses Armor Class debuffs like Darkness or Terror. While the absence of narrative elements may appeal to die-hard fans of the genre, the game’s mechanical complexity and dedication to “old school” features, such as a capped frame rate and limited auto-save options, could deter more casual gamers.

  • MSI MPG 341CQR: Price for 34-Inch 360Hz OLED Monitor Revealed

MSI MPG 341CQR: Price for 34-Inch 360Hz OLED Monitor Revealed

    Key Takeaways

    1. The MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 features advanced QD-OLED panel technology from Samsung Display, similar to other brands like Acer, Asus, and HP.
    2. Enhanced picture quality is achieved through a new pixel layout that reduces color fringing, improving image and text clarity compared to older models.
    3. MSI’s unique ‘DarkArmor’ coating is applied to the panel, providing additional protection and enhancing visual performance.
    4. The MPG 341CQR has a compact stand design and includes modern connectivity options such as DisplayPort 2.1a, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, and USB Type-A.
    5. MSI plans to launch the MPG 341CQR later this quarter at a price of $1,099 in the US.

The MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 showcases Samsung Display’s cutting-edge QD-OLED panel tech. Other brands, including Acer, Asus, and HP, have also adopted this Gen 5 panel. This means that the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 has similar key features as the Predator X34 FE, HyperX Omen 34-inch OLED 360 Hz Gaming Monitor, and the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN.

    Enhanced Picture Quality

According to the datasheet shared, MSI asserts that the new pixel layout improves both image and text clarity by minimizing color fringing, a common issue seen in older 34-inch OLED gaming monitors such as the MAG 341CQP, which is currently priced at $698 on Amazon. This enhancement is a typical feature found in all monitors that utilize the same Gen 5 QD-OLED panel.

    Unique Features of MPG 341CQR

Nevertheless, MSI aims to set the MPG 341CQR apart in certain aspects. It’s important to mention that the monitor’s ‘DarkArmor’ coating is MSI’s proprietary term for a 3H coating that is applied to every Gen 5 QD-OLED panel by Samsung Display. Aside from that, MSI has designed the MPG 341CQR with a more compact stand compared to earlier models, which includes DisplayPort 2.1a (UBHR13.5), HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C (98 W), and USB Type-A (5 Gbps) connections. Additionally, the MPG 341CQR utilizes MSI’s OLED Care 3.0 and AI Care Sensor technologies. At present, MSI is looking to launch the MPG 341CQR later this quarter with a price tag of $1,099 in the US.

  • UK Union Demands Reinstatement and Visa Protection for Fired GTA 6 Developers

UK Union Demands Reinstatement and Visa Protection for Fired GTA 6 Developers

    Key Takeaways

    1. The IWGB is seeking interim relief for 31 former Rockstar employees in the UK, alleging “brutal union busting” by Rockstar Games.
    2. Rockstar claims the terminations were due to employees leaking confidential GTA 6 information on an insecure social media platform.
    3. Protests took place outside Rockstar offices in the UK and Canada, with allegations of labor law violations against the company for suspending union workers.
    4. Rockstar denies any union busting, stating that only those who breached confidentiality were let go, and insists there is no blacklist for union supporters.
    5. The company emphasizes the importance of confidentiality, stating that leaks can cause significant commercial harm to their products.

The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain, known as IWGB, is currently working to provide interim relief for 31 Rockstar employees in the UK who were involved with GTA 6. This situation intensified after a preliminary hearing that took place on January 5, 2026, at Glasgow’s Tribunals Center, where the union accused Rockstar Games of “brutal union busting.” In response, Rockstar firmly rejects these claims.

    Rockstar’s Defense

As reported by IGN, Rockstar Games asserts that the employees were terminated due to leaking confidential information regarding upcoming GTA 6 features through an “insecure” social media platform. The interim relief aims to restore the affected former employees’ payroll and work visas after a complete trial. Sadly, three Canadian developers affected by this situation are not included due to regional differences.

    Protests and Allegations

The employees lost their jobs last year, leading to protests outside Rockstar’s offices in both the UK and Canada. The IWGB has intervened, stating that Rockstar is breaching labor laws by suspending union workers who were simply advocating for unionization. The union released a statement emphasizing:

“This case goes beyond the 31 individuals who lost their jobs unexpectedly. It reflects the arrogance of a company like Rockstar, which believes its size and profits give it a free pass to mistreat workers without consequences.”

    A Firm Stance from Rockstar

In contrast, Rockstar maintains its position, informing IGN that it “categorically denies” any allegations of union busting and that former employees “discussed highly confidential information, including game features from upcoming and unannounced titles, in an insecure and public social channel.”

IWGB president Alex Marshall responded in November, asserting, “This was on a limited union Discord where people were discussing their working conditions, and they should be legally protected in doing so.”

Rockstar also mentioned that “employees who supported the union but did not breach confidentiality were not let go,” denying any existence of a “blacklist” for union members. The company has taken a notably firm stance on this matter, especially considering the stronger labor laws in the UK compared to the US, where its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is based.

    Rockstar’s Statement

    Rockstar further elaborated:

“We regret that these dismissals were necessary; however, confidentiality is crucial to everything we do at Rockstar Games. The global interest in our games is unmatched. Even the slightest leak of information regarding our products and practices can result in significant commercial and creative harm, as we have experienced before.”

  • Switch 2 Holiday Sales Drop 35%: Price and Game Selection Factors

Switch 2 Holiday Sales Drop 35%: Price and Game Selection Factors

    Key Takeaways

    1. Sales Lagging Behind Original Switch: U.S. Switch 2 sales during the holiday season were about 35% lower than the original handheld’s performance.

    2. Strong Launch but Slowing Demand: The Switch 2 had a record-breaking launch on June 5th, but sales have declined since then, possibly due to initial demand draining potential future buyers.

    3. Economic Challenges: Rising costs in the economic landscape and a higher price point ($150 more than the original Switch) are likely impacting sales.

    4. Lack of Major Game Releases: The absence of significant Western games and poor marketing for key releases like Metroid Prime 4 may have contributed to lower sales compared to previous years.

    5. Future Market Challenges: Despite record sales anticipated for 2025, Nintendo faces a tough market in 2026, with potential price increases due to rising manufacturing costs.

Nintendo’s hardware usually does well during the holiday season, but 2025 might not have met hopes. The Game Business reports that U.S. Switch 2 sales in the last two months of the year lagged behind the original handheld by about 35%. Several European countries saw a similar pattern, while the console performed better in Japan.

    Strong Launch Yet Slowing Sales

The handheld had amazing demand on its June 5th launch date, shattering previous console sales records. However, as sales have slowed since then, it’s possible that the strong start may have taken away potential buyers later on in the year.

    Economic Factors at Play

The Game Business offers other reasons for the decline in sales. A Nintendo staff member who talked to the site mentioned a “complicated economic landscape.” Although the Switch 2 price hasn’t increased like the original Switch, PS5, or Xbox Series X, it still costs gamers $150 more than what its predecessor did at launch.

As other costs rise, this higher MSRP has likely become a bigger barrier. The same Nintendo insider also pointed out the “lack of a significant Western game.” Some critics argue that the marketing for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, a key release in early December, was not handled well. Other holiday games, like Kirby Air Riders, were more appealing in Japan than in the Americas or Europe.

    Comparisons to Previous Releases

Back in 2017, the October release of Super Mario Odyssey helped keep the Switch’s momentum going. With the new console, there’s still no official word on the next 3D Mario game. Despite rumors, gamers are also left without a clear timeline for a new Zelda game on the Switch 2.

Looking at global sales, the handheld saw a 7% drop in the UK compared to the performance in November and December for the Switch. In France, contrary to most places, the Switch did better in its first year than in its second. Lastly, in Japan, sales also dropped, but not as much as in other regions.

    Looking Ahead

Even with a slowdown during the holiday season, the Switch 2 sales for 2025 should still end at record levels. It’s crucial to note that all consoles are finding it hard to attract buyers. November was particularly challenging in the U.S., with the lowest number of gaming systems sold since 1995.

Nintendo will face a difficult market in 2026. As manufacturers cope with rising storage and memory costs, the chance of a price increase for the Switch 2 is possible.
