HP OmniBook Ultra & OmniStudio X AIO Desktop with Intel & AMD CPUs
Expanding its portfolio of AI-powered PCs, HP has introduced the OmniBook Ultra laptop and the OmniStudio X AIO desktop. Both models come with AI-enabled chipsets from AMD and Intel, offering a range of features.
HP OmniBook Ultra AI PC
The OmniBook Ultra, distinct from the Snapdragon X Elite-powered OmniBook X, is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor, coupled with a Radeon 800M GPU. This setup is complemented by up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The laptop features a 1-inch 2.2K (2240 x 1400) IPS LCD screen that supports touch functionality and has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Designed as a workstation, it aims to enhance large language model (LLM) development by identifying and correcting biases in models.
HP OmniBook Ultra AI PC
The device is powered by a 68Wh battery, promising up to 21 hours of video playback. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The front houses a 9MP webcam for video calls. For audio, there’s a quad-speaker setup with DTS Ultra. Internally, the OmniStudio X is powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, which can be paired with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPU. This setup offers a suite of AI features, including the HP AI Companion for creative editing and productivity. Users also get access to Z by HP AI Studio, which incorporates generative AI for LLM development. For connectivity, the desktop includes a USB-C connection that supports video, audio, data, keyboard, and mouse control.
Pricing and Availability
The OmniBook Ultra will be available in Meteor Silver, with sales starting in August through HP’s official website and BestBuy. It is priced at 1,449 US Dollars. The HP OmniStudio X AIO will also be available next month on HP.com, with a starting price of 1,149 US Dollars. Galileo integration for Z by HP AI Studio is expected to arrive in the fall of 2024.

Last month, Lenovo introduced the AI-driven Yoga Air 14c flip notebook in China. This laptop is now available for purchase on JD.com at a price of 8999 Yuan ($1241). It is offered in a Misty Blue color.

Lenovo recently introduced the YOGA Air 14s Snapdragon Edition laptop, which is priced at 9999 Yuan ($1,375). The laptop is now available for purchase in China.
The YOGA Air 14s is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 processor and comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCle 4.0 high-speed storage.
Display, Design, and Other Features
The laptop features a sleek metal body, measuring just 12.9mm in thickness and weighing only 1.29kg. It is available in two colors: “Hanyu Blue” and “Light Sea Shell.” For a better idea of the color options, refer to the image below.
Upon opening the lid, you will find a 2.9K (2944×1840) high-resolution OLED screen that boasts a peak brightness of 1000 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display offers an enjoyable viewing experience with a 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut (typical). Additionally, the keyboard provides 1.5mm key travel for comfortable typing.
Connectivity and Performance
The device includes 3XUSB4 ports for high-speed data transfer and offers Wi-Fi 7 for wireless connectivity.
As previously mentioned, the laptop is equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 chipset. This chipset is manufactured by TSMC using a 4nm process and includes 12 Oryon CPU cores that can reach a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz. The integrated Adreno GPU delivers a performance of 3.8TFLOPS, and the NPU offers a performance of 45TOPS, making it the fastest NPU available for Windows devices. The chipset is also highly power-efficient and provides impressive performance, even when running x86 applications.
