Huawei Unveils Children’s Watch 5 with Offline Tracking & Video Calls

Huawei recently introduced a new smartwatch for children, the Children’s Watch 5 New Xingyao Edition. This device emphasizes safety and communication, featuring offline positioning, seamless video calls, and a durable battery. This follows the launch of the Children’s Watch 5 Pro. Here are its main features:

Specifications of Huawei Children’s Watch 5 Xingyao Edition

The smartwatch includes an offline positioning feature that continues to provide location data even when the device is on but out of cellular service due to unpaid fees or when in signal blind spots. This capability uses Huawei’s “Search” network technology to stay connected through nearby Huawei devices, enhancing the watch’s safety features.

Additionally, the Children’s Watch 5 Xingyao Edition features a 10-fold AI positioning system, combining Huawei’s NLP algorithm with various map sources for accurate location tracking. It offers indoor positioning in more than 5,000 public locations nationwide, records all-day movements, allows parents to set safety zones, and alerts them when their child arrives at or leaves school.

Enhanced Communication Features

Communication is simplified with smooth video calls between the watch and other devices like smartphones, tablets, and smart screens. Children can also securely add friends via WeChat Children’s Edition and QQ Children’s Edition, with parents maintaining control over contact management to ensure their child’s safety.
