  • Samsung Galaxy S25 to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite, Exynos 2500 Dropped

Samsung Galaxy S25 to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite, Exynos 2500 Dropped

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is generating buzz with various rumors and leaks about its specifications, especially concerning its chipsets, which have shown conflicting information. Recently, a trusted tipster has shared some new significant insights regarding the upcoming flagship smartphones. It appears that these devices might utilize Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, bypassing the brand’s own Exynos 2500.

    Exynos 2500 Reportedly Dropped

Recent discussions indicated that the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ were set to launch with the Exynos 2500 chipset. However, TM Roh, the President of Samsung Mobile, suggested that the series would instead feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. According to a tipster known as @chunvn8888 on X, Samsung is opting out of the Exynos for its new flagship models. Reports suggest that the Exynos 2500 has been cancelled, and the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will indeed come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

All Models to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite

Initially, it was mentioned that only the Galaxy S25 series would run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, excluding the S25 Ultra. However, the tipster later clarified that all three models in the series will be powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset. Chun Bhai also pointed out that Samsung’s plans to equip the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with the Exynos 2500 have been scrapped. Additionally, it was revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE would come with the Exynos 2400. For context, the Galaxy S24 FE was launched using the Exynos 2400e, which is a less powerful version of the Exynos 2400 found in the Galaxy S24 and S24+.

    A Minor Upgrade Expected

Essentially, the next model might only see a small enhancement over its predecessor. It’s important to remember that this information is still unverified, so it’s wise to remain skeptical for the time being. In other developments, details about the dimensions of the entire Galaxy S25 lineup have leaked, showing a slimmer design compared to previous models. The Ultra version is also available in four color choices. More information about the S25 series is expected to emerge soon, so stay tuned for further updates.

  • Benefits of Choosing a Gaming Motorola Phone for Gamers

Benefits of Choosing a Gaming Motorola Phone for Gamers

Motorola has a strong history of providing top-notch smartphones, known for their impressive displays and durable hardware. However, it hasn’t really made a significant impact in the gaming smartphone sector yet.

    The Potential for Mobile Gaming

With mobile gaming becoming more and more popular, a gaming-focused phone from Motorola could really shake things up, especially if it pays attention to a few essential features. In this piece, we will explore what would make a gaming phone from Motorola stand out in the crowded market.

Features of an Impressive Gaming Phone

Motorola is well-regarded for its vibrant and clear displays, especially in its Edge series. These devices are known for their exceptional color accuracy, brightness, and refresh rates. For a phone designed for gaming, it’s vital to have a high refresh rate, ideally reaching 165Hz, like the LTPO AMOLED screen on the ROG Phone 8. Motorola currently features 144Hz displays in several of its models, so upgrading to 165Hz would be a logical step forward.

Yet, simply increasing the refresh rate doesn’t automatically mean better gaming, as it also relies on how well games work with these settings. Thankfully, many popular games now accommodate 120Hz, and some even go up to 144Hz. By adding a higher refresh rate, the gaming experience would not only be improved but also make the phone more adaptable to upcoming games.

    Enhancing the Visual Experience

Moreover, support for HDR, a high touch sampling rate, coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and peak brightness are all important for a richer visual experience. These features ensure that players can see clear details and enjoy smooth transitions during intense gameplay. Motorola should consider using a flat display instead of a curved one to cater to gamers’ preferences.

Tribit StormBox Blast 2: Powerful 200W Portable Speaker Launch

The StormBox Blast 2, from Tribit, is marketed as more than just your average speaker with a handy handle. It boasts a powerful subwoofer that delivers up to 80W, supported by "large" dual passive radiators to enhance the bass even more.

    Sound Features

In addition, the speaker comes equipped with dual 15W tweeters and mid-range 45W drivers, creating a "panoramic" sound experience. The Blast 2 is also fitted with "advanced" titanium amplifiers, which provide a "balanced and dynamic" 2.1-channel audio performance.

    Connectivity and Lighting

Another cool feature is its tunable and dynamic RGB lighting, along with dual 6.35mm jacks for karaoke use. However, keep in mind that you’ll need wired microphones, which may have to be bought separately.

    Power and Availability

Even with its fantastic specifications, there are a few downsides to the Blast 2’s upgrades, mainly that it must be plugged in to reach its full 200W rating. On battery, it can deliver up to 180W and is said to last for up to 30 hours before needing a recharge. Charging can be done via USB-C or an AC connector, but the USB-C option is reported to be "significantly" slower than the AC method.

The StormBox Blast 2 is currently available from either Tribit or Amazon, priced at $299.99.

    Specifications Overview

As is common, Huawei has disclosed all the specifications for these models, but they have not mentioned the names of the chipsets used. Both the Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro run on Huawei’s own HarmonyOS 4.2. Importantly, users can install all Android applications on both smartphones.

    Display Features

Both models are equipped with an identical 60MP front-facing camera and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. A notable difference is that the Pro version has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, which the standard version does not have.

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Price Surge: Snapdragon 8 Elite & New Foldables

Samsung Galaxy S25 Price Surge: Snapdragon 8 Elite & New Foldables

The year is winding down, and the smartphone arena is already entering a new phase, especially after the recent releases of the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite. For the first time, flagship smartphones using these new Mediatek and Qualcomm processors are set to launch in Europe before the new calendar year. Meanwhile, many Android manufacturers are striving to challenge Samsung’s dominance, particularly outside of China.

    Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy S25 Series

As the new year approaches, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 lineup, which will include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Initially, there were plans to utilize a combination of Exynos and Snapdragon processors, but ongoing issues with the 3nm production of the Exynos 2500 have pushed Samsung Mobile CEO TM Roh to rely solely on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for all markets. Industry insider @Jukanlosreve has been reporting on this development for several weeks, indicating a shift in Samsung’s strategy.

    Foldable Phones on the Horizon

2025 promises to be an exciting year for enthusiasts of foldable devices. Following the limited release of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, we have some expectations about how the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might evolve next year. The disappointing sales figures for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, combined with increasing competition from both China and the U.S., seem to be prompting South Korean companies to rethink their strategies. According to ZDNet, Samsung has further foldable plans that extend beyond the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series.

Samsung’s Flex S and New Models

While it’s not a certainty yet, Huawei’s progress with the Mate XT could be spurring Samsung to speed up its plans for the Flex S tri-foldable device, with hopes of mass production by 2025. Recently, discussions about Samsung’s rollable devices have increased, overshadowing the double-folding Galaxy tablet. A report from Meritz Securities, shared by @Jukanlosreve, also suggests that Samsung may expand its foldable offerings in 2025 by introducing 3 to 4 additional models.

In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, there are rumors of a Galaxy Z tri-foldable and possibly another foldable device, although opinions vary. The report from ZDNet hints at a budget flip phone, which has been disputed by Sisajournal. According to @Jukanlosreve, it’s more plausible that Samsung will release an upgraded version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, akin to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. However, it’s important to note that none of these plans have been officially verified yet.

  • OnePlus 13 Beats Previous Model in Real-World Gaming Test

OnePlus 13 Beats Previous Model in Real-World Gaming Test

Digital Chat Station has reported that the next-generation OnePlus 13 is already in testing ahead of its expected launch on Hallowe’en 2024. This well-known leaker has shifted from just handling the device to putting it through rigorous tests with various demanding applications to assess its performance.

    Testing Against Competitors

The OnePlus 13, identified by its Chinese model number PJZ110, was evaluated against its predecessor, the Ace 3 Pro (PJX110), which features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Additionally, the Vivo V2405DA – known as the X200 Pro Satellite Edition and powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 – was included in the comparison.

    Performance Insights

In these tests, the OnePlus 13’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform showed the most significant improvement, achieving a smooth 121fps in Genshin Impact while consuming just 5.4W of power. Meanwhile, the X200 Pro demonstrated comparable results in certain situations, reaching 125fps/12.6W in the GFX Aztec benchmark, whereas the PJZ110 managed 120fps/13W.

    Energy Efficiency and Heat Management

Despite these results, the OnePlus 13 was still recognized as the most power-efficient device in the evaluation. Concerns regarding the 8 Elite’s resemblance to the 888 model were alleviated, as it only felt "slightly warm" after gaming sessions. Its heat distribution appeared to be on par with both the competing MediaTek chip and its Snapdragon 8-series predecessor.

Digital Chat Station shared these insights via Weibo.

  • Xiaomi Set to Launch Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro with Chipsets

Xiaomi Set to Launch Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro with Chipsets

The Redmi Turbo 3 is relatively new, having been launched in April. One might think that Xiaomi won’t be updating the device anytime soon. However, Digital Chat Station is already hinting at the possibility of a new version with improvements over the existing model.

    Upcoming Models

Reports suggest that Xiaomi is working on not just one, but two new Redmi Turbo 4 smartphones. Digital Chat Station mentions that the company is developing both the Redmi Turbo 4 and the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, with the primary difference being their processors. Both models are expected to feature 1.5K displays and have a battery capacity that exceeds 6,000 mAh.

    Specifications Overview

It seems that Xiaomi plans to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 for the standard Redmi Turbo 4. On the other hand, the Pro version is rumored to incorporate the ‘Snapdragon 8s Gen 4’. With Qualcomm recently rebranding its mobile chipsets as Snapdragon 8 Elite, it’s still uncertain if Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will stick as the final name for this chipset.

For comparison, Xiaomi hasn’t made the Redmi Turbo 3 available worldwide. Instead, it can only be found outside of China as the Poco F6, currently priced at $378.50 on Amazon. Therefore, it’s likely that the Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro will also be sold under different branding in global markets. Unfortunately, the exact names for these upcoming devices are still unknown for now.
