Asus has introduced the VivoWatch 6, its latest flagship smartwatch packed with extensive health-management functionalities. Weighing in at 60 grams, it ensures comfortable wear throughout the entire day.
Asus VivoWatch 6 Specs and Health-Tracking Features
The VivoWatch 6 boasts a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, safeguarded by Gorilla Glass, and offers a peak brightness of 350 nits.
The device supports blood pressure monitoring and ECG, featuring ASUS Blood Pressure and ASUS ECG apps. It can also track body composition, sleep quality, and a Relaxation Index. Equipped with dual sets of medical-grade ECG and PPG sensors, the VivoWatch 6 includes a bioelectrical impedance (BIA) sensor on its outer ring for body composition measurement.
By placing your thumb and index finger on the watch face sensor, you can determine body fat, skeletal muscle percentages, water content, and basal metabolic rate. The watch also monitors the autonomic nervous system using heart rate variability (HRV) to calculate the Relaxation Index, which helps detect sudden or unusual stress level increases. Another notable feature is the Body Harmony Analysis, which tracks the user’s emotional status over a week and displays it in a seven-grid chart.
The VivoWatch 6 comes with dual-band GPS and offers up to 14 days of battery life. “Leveraging cutting-edge innovations and years of medical expertise, ASUS VivoWatch 6 is designed to help users keep track of their long-term health goals easily, allowing them to monitor vital health stats anytime, anywhere to truly achieve preventive healthcare,” stated Sharon Pan, senior director of Smart Health Product Planning at ASUS.
Comprehensive Health Monitoring
The ASUS HealthConnect app provides an overview of all tracked health parameters. Additionally, the app includes the Care Track cloud-based service, enabling family members to view the user’s location and real-time health status.
Pricing and Availability
Asus has not yet disclosed the availability date for the VivoWatch 6. However, the pricing details have been announced: £110 / €130 / $140 / 1020 Yuan.
