ASUS has recently shared insights about its inaugural laptop to be driven by the Snapdragon X Elite processor. The upcoming ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED variant is scheduled for debut on May 20 and will complement the current edition of the laptop, which operates on an Intel Meteor Lake-H chipset. This information was disclosed through an official statement from ASUS. This new laptop represents a high-end, highly portable AI notebook that will fully integrate the latest AI functionalities from both ASUS and Microsoft.
Collaboration for Innovation
The Vivobook S 15 OLED is anticipated to be showcased during ASUS’ virtual launch event on May 20, a collaborative effort involving ASUS, Microsoft, and Qualcomm. Microsoft is also expected to introduce consumer versions of its Surface Laptop 6 and Surface Pro 10 in the same event.
Advancements in ASUS AI Technology
Described as the first ASUS AI PC of a new era, the Vivobook S 15 OLED is set to succeed the S 16 OLED. ASUS promises a customized AI experience tailored to individual user requirements. The new model carries the designation S5507, while the existing Meteor Lake-H processor version, S 15 OLED S5506, features a 16-inch display, making it larger than other current models like the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 and Microsoft Surface Laptop 6, which are powered by similar chipsets. ASUS plans to showcase its ASUS AI PC lineup at the Computex 2024 Taipei Computer Show.
Looking Ahead
ASUS will offer more details about the forthcoming release of the Vivobook S 15 OLED on May 7, including pricing and availability information for the upcoming laptop. Stay tuned for updates on this innovative addition to the ASUS laptop family.
