Vivo’s latest foldable flagship has surfaced on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database, signaling that an international launch could be drawing closer. The appearance marks the first time the X Fold6 has been listed on any certification platform outside China since its domestic unveiling last month.
Certification Details Confirmed
The SDPPI entry registers the device under model number V2559. While no hardware specifications accompany the listing, the model designation is expected to correspond to the same variant already selling in China. The V2559 identifier previously appeared in April on Europe’s EEC certification database, but the Indonesian filing delivers the first official confirmation of the handset’s marketing name as the Vivo X Fold6.
Display and Performance
Succeeding the X Fold5 introduced in China last June, the X Fold6 carries an 8.02-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED main screen and a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display. Both panels support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and incorporate eye-care technologies. Under the hood, the device runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, configurable with as much as 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Power is supplied by a 7,000mAh BlueVolt battery, compatible with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. The software experience is built on OriginOS 6 Fold, based on Android 16, and features multitasking additions such as an enhanced Atomic Workbench tailored for the expansive folding screen.
Imaging and Durability
The camera system is headlined by a 200MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ZEISS APO periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, all supported by Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip. The phone is compatible with a telephoto extender accessory and includes a 20MP front-facing camera on the outer display, plus an identical 20MP sensor on the inner screen. For durability, the X Fold6 carries both IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance. Color options in China include green, white, grey, and a black-with-gold finish.
Global Rollout Outlook
During the Chinese launch, Vivo indicated that a global release was planned but stopped short of sharing a timeline or a full list of target markets. The SDPPI certification suggests Indonesia is among the first regions being assessed for the international rollout. The device’s placement in a growing foldable segment comes as brands increasingly look to bring book-style foldables to broader audiences beyond China, a trend that has already seen competitors expand flagship availability across Southeast Asia and Europe this year.
