OnePlus has formally introduced the N6 in India, unveiling a new budget-focused series designed to prioritize endurance and affordability over raw performance. Positioned separately from the company’s existing Nord lineup, the device targets users who value multi-day battery life above all else.
A Massive Battery and Efficient Charging
At the core of the N6 is an 8,000mAh battery, which OnePlus states is the largest available in its segment. The cell supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, 5W reverse wired charging for accessories, and bypass charging that powers the phone directly without stressing the battery. OnePlus rates the power pack for 1,600 charge cycles and expects it to retain 80 percent of its original capacity after seven years of use.
The device is built around a 6.8-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,570 x 720. In high brightness mode, the screen can reach a peak of 1,200 nits. For audio, OnePlus has fitted a single “oversized” speaker unit that it says can deliver up to 400 percent more volume, though the company did not specify the baseline for that measurement.
A Focused Camera System and MediaTek Silicon
On the rear, the N6 carries a single functional 50-megapixel camera, with the remaining lenses serving only a decorative purpose. The front-facing sensor is an 8-megapixel unit. Video recording is capped at 1080p, and 60 frames-per-second capture is available exclusively on the 6GB RAM variant. The phone also includes a dual-view video mode that records from both cameras simultaneously.
Performance is handled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 Apex, an overclocked version of the Dimensity 6100 Plus. The handset comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM configurations, each paired with a fixed 128GB of internal storage, though users can expand capacity via a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 2TB.
Software, Durability, and Color Options
Shipping with OxygenOS 16, the N6 includes a suite of AI-powered tools such as AI Eraser, AI Portrait Glow, and AI Recompose. OnePlus commits to delivering two major OS updates and three years of security patches. Build quality is backed by MIL-STD-810H durability certification, and the phone carries an IP65 rating against dust and water splashes. Color choices are Fresh Mint and Midnight Green.
Pricing for the 4GB/128GB model starts at Rs 22,999 (approximately $240), while the 6GB/128GB version is priced at Rs 24,999 (around $260). With launch discounts and instant bank offers, the base model drops to Rs 19,999 (roughly $210) and Rs 21,999 (about $230). Sales in India are set to begin on July 4, though OnePlus has not yet confirmed plans for a global release.
