Motorola is preparing to launch the Moto G77 Power, a new model in its mid-range lineup that prioritizes battery life and wired audio convenience. The device joins the existing Moto G77 5G and incorporates several features requested by customers, most notably a return to a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage.

Battery Endurance and Physical Design

The most prominent upgrade is a massive 7,000 mAh battery, a substantial increase over the 5,200 mAh cell found in the standard Moto G77. Motorola claims this capacity can deliver up to 59 hours of use, comfortably exceeding two days on a single charge. Wired charging speeds are unchanged, with USB-C power delivery reaching 30 watts. Accommodating the larger battery adds some bulk, bringing the dimensions to 8.89 millimeters in thickness and a weight of 215 grams. The device retains the same IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and splashes but not full waterproofing. Under the hood, Motorola has kept the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor.

Display and Camera Adjustments

To accommodate the larger battery, the display technology shifts from AMOLED to LCD. The 6.72-inch screen maintains a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,050 nits. The camera system also sees reconfiguration. The primary sensor drops from 108 megapixels to a 50 MP f/1.8 camera utilizing a Sony LYT-600 sensor. This is accompanied by an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a sharp 32 MP f/2.2 front-facing selfie camera, which sits higher than the vanilla Moto G77’s unit.

Software and Market Availability

The Moto G77 Power ships with Android 16 out of the box. On the software support front, the device is slated to receive just one major OS update and three years of security patches, a relatively limited commitment for its class. The smartphone will debut in India as a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash storage, priced at INR 25,999, which translates to roughly $272. International availability has not yet been detailed by Motorola, though the Indian launch is scheduled for July 8, positioning the device as a direct competitor to other long-lasting mid-range phones that balance performance with multi-day endurance.
