Samsung’s next generation of foldable devices is coming into sharper focus ahead of the company’s scheduled Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. While design renders and feature lists have already begun circulating, the question of which chipsets will power the lineup—especially for European buyers—has now been addressed by a fresh leak covering the 2026 Galaxy Z series.

Processor split reemerges for the Galaxy Z Flip 8

According to information posted by Roland Quandt, the European variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will ship with Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor. This is the same system-on-chip expected to drive the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ in European markets. Sources indicate the Korean model will also feature the Exynos 2600, while units sold in the United States will instead use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Such regional processor splits are a familiar pattern for Samsung’s flagships, and the Flip 8 looks set to continue that tradition, inviting the usual round of cross-region performance comparisons.

Fold 8 models unify around Snapdragon

The rest of the foldable lineup takes a more uniform approach. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are tipped to rely exclusively on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, mirroring the global chip strategy seen with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Every region is expected to receive the same Qualcomm silicon inside the two Fold models, removing the processor variability that has long defined Samsung’s clamshell flagship.

Early reservation perks now live

In the run-up to the July showcase, Samsung has already opened reservations for the new phones. Customers who register can secure promotional incentives, including complimentary Samsung store credit and additional savings applied when pre-orders officially begin.
