A few months after Lenovo introduced the Intel-based Legion 5 15IAX11 to global markets, the company has quietly refreshed its AMD-powered counterpart with a more capable graphics option. The Legion 5 15AGP11, a 15.3-inch gaming laptop originally unveiled at CES 2026, now incorporates Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 12GB laptop GPU, bringing it in line with the highest GPU configuration currently offered on the Arrow Lake HX models.

A shift in graphics positioning

The updated configuration marks a clear delineation between Lenovo’s two recent AMD-powered Legion 5 lines. The Legion 5 15AGP11, which launched with AMD Gorgon Point processors such as the Ryzen AI 9 465, boasts superior CPU performance over the Hawk Point-based Legion 5 15AHP11. Previously, both machines could be equipped with up to an 8GB version of the GeForce RTX 5070. The new revision assigns the 12GB RTX 5070 exclusively to the newer 15AGP11, while the 8GB variant now appears as the top option on the older 15AHP11, which remains available with the Ryzen 7 250.

Specifications and design carry over

Beyond the graphics update, the Legion 5 15AGP11 retains the core hardware that defined its product family. The laptop continues to feature a fast 165 Hz OLED display, an 80 Wh battery, and a serviceable design that includes dual M.2 2280 slots alongside DDR5 SODIMM slots. The entire package is housed in a chassis weighing 1.87 kg, preserving a consistent physical footprint across configurations.

According to Lenovo’s PSREF documentation, the Legion 5 15AGP11 with the GeForce RTX 5070 12GB will be offered globally, configurable with either the AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 or Ryzen AI 9 465 processor. Official pricing and regional launch dates have not yet been announced. For additional configuration details, Lenovo directs customers to its website.
