The Epic Games Store is kicking off a new month by offering two acclaimed Windows titles at no cost through July 9. Together, the pair would normally carry a combined retail value of $49.98. The storefront has also already confirmed what will replace them when the promotion ends next week.

Free PC Games Now Available

The two offerings span starkly different genres. The first is I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, a cult-classic point-and-click adventure adapted from Harlan Ellison’s dystopian short story. It is joined by River City Girls 2, the latest mainline entry in the long-running side-scrolling beat-’em-up series developed by WayForward. Windows users can permanently add both games to their libraries by claiming them before the deadline.

A Mobile Giveaway Joins the Lineup

In parallel, Epic is extending its free game program to mobile devices with Sophia the Traveler, available for both Android and iOS. This single-player title draws direct inspiration from the Where’s Waldo? search-and-find franchise, tasking players with locating the titular character across ten hand-drawn, densely populated levels. The developer notes that each scene contains around 1,800 animated character sprites and numerous hidden Easter eggs, contributing to the game’s “Mostly Positive” review rating on Steam.

Players can secure the mobile giveaway either through Epic’s dedicated mobile storefronts or by using the instant checkout link while logged into an Epic Games account via a browser. It is important to note that iOS access remains subject to region-specific restrictions and device compatibility requirements; users on iPhone or iPad should consult Epic’s official support page for full details.
