Citizen has broadened its Promaster Marine dive watch series with four new references that emphasize a slimmed-down case, enhanced solar efficiency, and an eco-conscious strap material. The launch follows the debut of the Promaster Wave Tracker yacht timers in May and strengthens the brand’s offering of versatile, everyday-capable dive watches.

Compact Case Dimensions and Four Distinct Colorways

The new quartet is offered in four color executions. The BN0265-00A pairs a crisp white dial with a black bezel and an olive green urethane band, while the BN0266-07E adopts a monochromatic look with a black dial, black bezel, and matching band. For a more vibrant option, the BN0268-01E combines a bold orange band and bezel with a black dial. Rounding out the collection, the BN0267-04L features a navy blue band and bezel matched with a deep blue gradient dial.

Shared Specifications and Plant-Derived Strap

Despite their visual differences, the four models are technically identical. Each piece is equipped with a unidirectional bezel, 200 meters of water resistance, Type 1 magnetic resistance, and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. The stainless steel case measures 40.6mm in diameter and 11.7mm in thickness—dimensions that provide substantial wrist presence while allowing the watch to slide comfortably beneath a shirt cuff. Total weight is listed at 86 grams. The watches are fitted on a smooth urethane strap made from BENEBiOL, a highly durable, plant-derived material developed by the Mitsubishi Chemical Group. This same material has previously appeared on the Promaster Wave Tracker JV3000-13E and the limited-edition EO2023-00W Promaster Dive.

Updated Solar Movement and Launch Details

Powering the new Promaster Marine lineup is Citizen’s Eco-Drive Caliber E118 movement. The solar-powered caliber maintains an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and extends the battery reserve from the six months found in previous generations to roughly one year on a full charge. The improved energy efficiency also enables the use of more vibrant dial colors than were previously possible.

The Promaster Marine series is scheduled to go on sale first in Japan on July 16, priced at ¥69,300 (approximately $426). A wider international rollout, including a US launch, is expected to follow, though Citizen has not yet confirmed specific launch dates or regional pricing outside Japan.
