As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, Japanese streetwear label SOPH. is once again expanding its fictional F.C. Real Bristol universe through a new timepiece. The latest result of this quadrennial ritual is a limited-edition G-Shock DW-6900, the fifth collaboration between Casio and the conceptual football club.
A familiar silhouette with vintage cues
The 2026 release returns to the DW-6900 platform, the same base model used for the 2018 edition. Previous collaborations drew from other G-Shock lines: the DW-5600 anchored the 2010 and 2014 versions, while the 2022 partnership adopted the DW-5750. Production is capped at exactly 2,026 units, continuing the series’ tradition of tying the edition size to the tournament year. The fictional backstory imagines F.C.R.B. capturing a global title and receiving a championship-grade G-Shock in commemoration.
Visually, the watch pairs a matte black resin case with an off-white dial tinged in beige, deliberately evoking the patina of aged digital watches. The F.C.R.B. logo sits in vivid red above the display, while the familiar triple-graph layout occupies the upper portion of the face. Near the bottom, the phrase “FOOTBALL IS BEAUTIFUL” is printed as a subtle design note.
Backlight reveal and packaging details
Activating the blue electroluminescent backlight uncovers a hidden layer of branding: the Bristol crest appears in red against the glow, creating a deliberate tricolor interplay with the blue illumination and off-white dial—a visual signature of the current season’s collection. Around the back, the stainless steel case back is engraved with the Bristol emblem and the year 2026.
The watch ships inside a custom green presentation box, finished with the F.C. Real Bristol logo stamped in gold.
