Fujifilm is adding two new models to its QuickSnap line of single-use film cameras, blending retro appeal with more specialized shooting capabilities. Each camera arrives with 27 exposures pre-loaded and is designed to be handed over to a lab for processing once the film is finished, after which the body is discarded.

Underwater Capability and Glove-Friendly Design

The QuickSnap Active is built for wet and rugged conditions, carrying a waterproof rating that allows it to function at depths down to 10 meters. Instead of a conventional shutter button, it uses a lever mechanism, making it possible to operate while wearing gloves. The model is loaded with 35mm color film rated at ISO 800 and does not include a flash, which effectively rules out low-light and nighttime photography.

Monochrome Shooting with a Flash

For photographers drawn to black-and-white imagery, the QuickSnap Black and White offers a built-in flash and a different film stock. It uses panchromatic film with a sensitivity of ISO 400, matching its color counterpart’s 27-frame capacity. Both cameras share the same fixed-focus lens, calibrated for sharp results on subjects between one and three meters away, along with a simple optical viewfinder, a shutter release, a film advance wheel, and an exposure-count indicator.

Pricing and Availability

Fujifilm plans to release both cameras in the fall of 2026. The QuickSnap Black and White will be priced at $22.90, while the QuickSnap Active will sell for $24.75. By comparison, the standard QuickSnap model currently retails for $21.99. While the QuickSnap range leans on film photography nostalgia, the single-use design continues to raise environmental considerations even as the lineup expands.
