AOC Q27G2S Monitor: 2K Display and 155Hz for 999 Yuan

AOC has introduced its latest 27-inch display, the Q27G2S, which is currently listed on JD.com for 999 yuan ($138). This monitor boasts a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 155Hz, catering to users who seek a good mix of performance and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, a more advanced version, the Q27G2S/D, is expected to offer a 170Hz refresh rate but is not yet on the market.

Specifications of AOC Q27G2S Monitor

The Q27G2S features a 2560 x 1440 IPS panel with a rapid 1ms MPRT response time, brightness of 350 nits, and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. It supports 10-bit color (8-bit + FRC) and covers 131% of the sRGB color spectrum, making it ideal for general tasks and some light content creation. While the monitor has an HDR Mode, it does not match the HDR400 support found in the Q27G2S/D variant.

Upgrades in Q27G2S/D Model

The Full Blood Edition (Q27G2S/D) provides multiple enhancements over the Classic Edition (Q27G2S). It raises the refresh rate to 170Hz, lowers the response time to 1ms GTG, and adds HDR400 certification, increasing brightness to 400 nits in HDR mode. However, the coverage of the sRGB color gamut is slightly less at 126%. This model also supports both G-SYNC and Adaptive-Sync, which adds more flexibility for gaming. Furthermore, the DisplayPort interface has been upgraded to version 1.4, in contrast to the Classic Edition’s DP 1.2.

Design and Connectivity Features

Both the AOC Q27G2S and Q27G2S/D come with an adjustable stand that allows for lift, tilt, and rotation, and they are compatible with VESA wall mounts. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort, and a 3.5mm audio output.

The AOC Q27G2S and Q27G2S/D are accessible for purchase in numerous regions worldwide, including the US and India.
