Anker Launches 140W Dual-Headed USB-C Cable for $25

Anker has introduced a USB-C charging cable that allows simultaneous charging of two devices. This new Anker 2-in-1 USB-C cable can reach charging speeds of up to 140W and intelligently distributes power between the connected devices.

Features and Design

The Anker 2-in-1 USB-C cable aims to reduce the clutter of multiple wires when connecting several devices. It incorporates Smart Power Management technology, which automatically adjusts the power distribution based on each device's requirements. The cable is 4 feet in length and features a single USB-C port on one end and two USB-C ports on the other end. The split extends a feet of cable to the two outlets, which can be shortened to reduce clutter.

Durability and Power Delivery

Wrapped in a durable sheath, Anker asserts that the cable can withstand over 10,000 bends. It supports PD, PPS, and PIQ 2.0 USB power delivery protocols. When connected to a single device, the cable can deliver up to 140W of power. When two devices are connected, it can deliver up to 130W if one device draws more than 100W. If neither device draws up to 100W, the total power delivery is capped at 100W.

Smart Power Management

Anker's automatic power management ensures that when two similar devices are connected, the first device receives more power. For instance, when using a 60W power adapter to charge a PC and a smartphone, the PC gets 30W, while the phone receives 13.5W. More powerful adapters provide optimal performance for the Anker 2-in-1 USB-C cable. It is currently priced at $25 and available on Amazon.
