Acer has introduced a new addition to its Nitro series of gaming monitors, the VG240YU. Priced at 1099 Yuan (approximately $152), this monitor is now available for purchase on JD.com in China.

The VG240YU features a 23.8-inch 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution Fast-IPS panel with an impressive 180Hz native refresh rate. This high refresh rate results in smoother gameplay with reduced motion blur, particularly advantageous in fast-paced esports games. The panel’s brightness is rated at 300 nits, and it supports 8-bit color depth.
With a response time of 1ms (GtG), the monitor significantly reduces ghosting, ensuring a highly responsive gaming experience. Moreover, the VG240YU covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports HDR10, providing rich and accurate colors suited for both gaming and content creation.
Advanced Gaming Features
The VG240YU supports AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate with compatible AMD graphics cards. This helps eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, offering a smoother gameplay experience. The monitor also sports a three-sided bezel design, providing an almost edge-to-edge viewing experience that is perfect for multi-monitor setups.
