Xiaomi's ecosystem brand, Xming, has launched its new projector, the Q5 Neo, in the Chinese market. After the introduction of the Xming Q5 earlier this year, the Q5 Neo is now up for pre-sale on JD.com, priced at 699 yuan ($97). Let's dive into its main features.
Key Features of the Q5 Neo
The Xming Q5 Neo projector showcases a stylish and compact design, coming in a distinctive pink-blue color inspired by the lively palette of the 2024 Paris Games. It utilizes an LED light source with a native resolution of 1080p (1920×1080) and can decode 4K, ensuring sharp and clear images on screens up to 150 inches in size.
With a brightness of 300 CVIA lumens and a contrast ratio of 2600:1, the projector is equipped with the advanced PhotonX 2.0 fully enclosed optical engine, which significantly improves brightness and overall image clarity. It also boasts an all-glass optical lens and is crafted with durability and heat resistance in mind.
Versatile Viewing Experience
The projector includes a 360-degree metal bracket, making it easy to adjust angles, including ceiling projections, for a flexible viewing experience. For eye safety, the device has received SGS certification for low blue light emissions, making it suitable for extended viewing for both adults and kids.
Inside, the Q5 Neo is powered by an MT9 chipset and runs on a smart system that is based on Android 9.0. It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and multiple projection options such as DLNA, Miracast, AirPlay, Huawei Cast Engine, and Lebo.
It also features a user-friendly iQIYI launcher, providing access to a broad library of content. The projector incorporates AI-driven image calibration, which includes automatic keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and screen alignment.
Audio and Connectivity Features
The Q5 Neo seamlessly integrates with Xiaomi Mi Home and supports the Xiao Ai voice assistant for remote voice commands, in addition to manual button operation.
When it comes to audio, the Q5 Neo is fitted with a 3W speaker and a spacious 120cc sound chamber, which together create an immersive audio experience. It offers HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for versatile connectivity options.
