Xiaomi Unveils Selfie Stick: 1.6m Rod, Tripod, Bluetooth Remote

Xiaomi has introduced a new product in the Chinese market, the Zoom Floor Selfie Stick. It is currently priced at 149 Yuan, approximately $21, and can be purchased from JD.com. Here’s a look at its main features.

Key Features of the Xiaomi Zoom Floor Selfie Stick

The selfie stick is equipped with a 1.6-meter telescopic rod constructed from a ten-segment aluminum alloy, ensuring durability and facilitating wide-angle photography. It also functions as a tripod, featuring a quick-release mechanism that automatically unfolds with a simple tap. This design combines compactness with a naturally extended eye-level position for taking photos.

The tripod's stability is enhanced by a zinc alloy umbrella rib structure within its broad base. Additionally, the tripod’s extended and broadened legs increase its load-bearing capacity, minimizing the risk of wobbling.

Enhanced Stability and Versatility

For increased stability, the tripod comes with non-slip silicone foot pads that provide improved support, even on uneven surfaces. When shooting outdoors, users can utilize auxiliary ground spikes, which are available for separate purchase, to further steady the tripod.

The Xiaomi Zoom Selfie Stick is also equipped with a multifunctional Bluetooth remote control that is magnetically stored in the handle to prevent it from being misplaced. This remote control offers several handy functions, such as quick camera activation, switching between photo and video modes, and remote zoom with 0.1x precision.

Convenient Controls and Additional Features

Users can effortlessly switch between front and rear cameras with a single click. The remote control works within a 10-meter range, though some advanced features like zoom and mode switching are limited to Xiaomi and MIUI devices.

The selfie stick features a built-in rotatable phone clamp, allowing for multi-axis rotation, making it easier to adjust shooting angles and switch between landscape and portrait orientations. It also includes a concealed accessory interface at the top for attaching additional gear, such as fill lights or a cold shoe adapter, enhancing its functionality.
