The awaited news about the Redmi Note 14 series launch worldwide is finally here. To summarize, Xiaomi first announced that only the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G would be launched in India on December 9. Later, it also mentioned that the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G would be released as well, keeping the same main camera intact.
Exciting Additions
Now, there's more good news: the Redmi Note 14 5G will also make its debut on the same date. This announcement comes right after Xiaomi started promoting the Poco M7 Pro 5G, which is based on the Redmi Note 14 5G that was unveiled in China over two months ago. It's worth noting that the global version of the Redmi Note 14 5G seems to have some differences compared to its Chinese version and the Poco M7 Pro 5G.
New Features
According to Xiaomi's teasers, the global version of the Redmi Note 14 5G will have an extra rear camera, which is missing from both the Chinese model and the Poco M7 Pro 5G. Currently, Xiaomi hasn't revealed any details about what this third rear camera might be. Instead, the focus has been on the device's main camera, which employs an unchanged Sony LYT-600 sensor, providing a 50 MP native output with a 1/1.95-inch optical size.
Expected Specifications
For reference, Xiaomi took a similar approach last year with the global release of the Redmi Note 13 5G (currently priced at $214.50 on Amazon). If they follow the same pattern this year, we can expect the Redmi Note 14 5G to come with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, plus a 2 MP depth camera, a 16 MP front-facing camera, and the 50 MP primary camera. It's likely that Xiaomi will also include a Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset and a 5,110 mAh battery, along with a consistent 6.67-inch 120 Hz OLED display.
