Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 and 6 Pro: Features, Price, Availability

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 6 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro globally, offering two wireless earbud choices tailored for various user preferences. Each model boasts advanced features and competitive pricing, making them attractive to a broad audience.

Redmi Buds 6: Affordable with Essential Features

The Redmi Buds 6 come with a price tag of £34.99 (around $43) and are designed to provide dependable audio quality. These earbuds utilize a dual-driver configuration, featuring a 12.4 mm titanium-coated dynamic driver alongside a 5.5 mm piezoelectric tweeter to ensure clear and well-balanced sound.

They are equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that can cut noise levels by up to 49 dB, making them ideal for loud environments such as busy streets or office spaces. An adaptive transparency mode modifies the noise cancellation according to the environment, and 360-degree spatial audio enhances the listening experience while watching movies or playing games. The Redmi Buds 6 support Bluetooth 5.4 and include a dual-mic setup that employs AI noise cancellation to ensure clear voice calls. With the charging case, users can enjoy up to 42 hours of playback time, allowing for extended use.

Redmi Buds 6 Pro: Enhanced Audio and Features

Priced at £64.99 (approximately $81), the Redmi Buds 6 Pro are aimed at audiophiles looking for superior sound quality. This Pro model features a triple-driver system, which includes dual PZT tweeters and an 11 mm titanium diaphragm driver, delivering crisp highs and rich bass.

The Pro variant provides ANC that reduces noise by up to 55 dB, effectively managing mid and high-frequency sounds. It also supports high-resolution audio codecs such as LDAC and LC3, along with dimensional audio that incorporates head tracking for a more immersive listening experience. The battery life for the Buds 6 Pro is rated at 9.5 hours on a single charge, offering a total of 36 hours when used with the charging case. An AI-driven three-microphone system ensures clear communication during calls, while customizable EQ settings let users fine-tune the sound to their liking.
