Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced that it would be one of the first Android manufacturers to launch a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Just to clarify, this new Qualcomm processor is set to be the core of the Xiaomi 15, and it is also anticipated to appear in the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra models.
Redmi K80 Pro Expected Soon
Additionally, the Redmi K80 Pro is a strong contender for featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Judging by the recent patterns of the Redmi K series, the Redmi K80 Pro is expected to arrive in late November or December 2024. While it may be exclusive to China, there's a possibility that Xiaomi is working on a global version set to be released under its Poco brand, which is stylized as POCO.
Poco F7 Ultra in Development
In particular, new data from the IMEI database indicates that Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce the Poco F7 Ultra as a global counterpart to the Redmi K80 Pro. Unfortunately, the exact launch date for the Poco F7 Ultra remains unclear at this time. However, considering past release trends for the Poco F series, a global launch in spring 2025 seems plausible, especially following this year's Poco F6 Pro (currently priced at $469.99 on Amazon).
