Xiaomi has unveiled a fresh entry into its smart home product range with the introduction of the Mijia Smart Aroma Diffuser Set in China. This diffuser is priced at 149 yuan ($20) and is currently accessible on JD.com. Let’s take a look at its main features.
Design and Build Quality
The diffuser sports a sleek, cylindrical shape, measuring 74 x 74 x 122mm and weighing in at 293g. Crafted from high-grade PP material, it promises durability. It has a fragrance liquid capacity of 135ml and offers a Cedar Green Tea aroma, which features a delightful mix of top, middle, and base notes like pear, jasmine, and cedarwood.
Smart Features
With smart fragrance control, users can modify the intensity in three different levels. Each level is linked to a specific spray duration, occurring every 10 to 20 minutes for 2 seconds, giving users the flexibility to choose what suits them best.
The Mijia Smart Aroma Diffuser is compatible with the Mijia App, allowing users to manage fragrance diffusion and select from 15 different scent combinations. Plus, it comes with 16 million ambient lighting colors that mimic flickering candlelight, contributing to a calming atmosphere.
Advanced Technology
This diffuser incorporates microwave motion sensing technology, enabling it to detect movement up to two meters away within a 120° field. When motion is detected, it releases a three-second fragrance burst, providing an instant refresh. This feature is turned off by default but can be activated via the app for a more tailored experience.
Moreover, it works with Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect, ensuring smooth connectivity with Xiaomi AI speakers and other smart devices, allowing for voice control and a hands-free experience.
Battery Life and Connectivity
The device supports Type-C charging and operates on a 5V input with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It can last up to 50 days on a single charge at the lowest fragrance setting or up to six hours if the ambient light is turned on. The diffuser also supports low-power Bluetooth for wireless connections.
In addition to the diffuser, Xiaomi has also recently rolled out two more Mijia products: the Mijia Smart Blender P1, boasting a speed of 35,000 rpm, 13-layer noise reduction, and HyperOS; and the Mijia No-Fog Humidifier 3 (800), which provides 800mL/h of humidification and features a smart display.
