Xiaomi has launched a fresh appliance from its Mijia line, the Smart Inverter Dehumidifier 30L, in China. This product is now open for pre-orders on JD.com and will be officially available for sale at 10 AM on December 3rd, with a special introductory price of 1999 yuan ($276). Let’s dive into the main features.
Specifications of the Mijia Smart Inverter Dehumidifier 30L
This dehumidifier comes with a Panasonic dual-rotor variable frequency compressor teamed with a DC variable frequency motor, ensuring strong performance for quick moisture extraction within just 10 minutes. The powerful dual-core system is backed by a patented C-type heat exchanger module, which boosts the water vapor interception area by 46%, improving its dehumidifying capabilities.
Performance and Portability
It has a significant dehumidification ability of 30 liters per day, making it ideal for larger areas. It can manage single-room spaces up to 60m², and its universal wheels provide additional convenience for moving it around different rooms easily.
The Xiaomi Mijia Dehumidifier 30L also features advanced frost prevention technology. It accurately regulates the temperature of the evaporator to maintain consistent dehumidification without any frost buildup, even in the chilly and humid conditions typical of "returning south weather" in China, where regular dehumidifiers might frost up and stop working.
Noise Reduction and Energy Efficiency
In terms of noise management, this model uses eight layers of noise reduction tech, including a design for biomimetic fan blades and vibration dampening structures, greatly decreasing the noise produced during operation. It can operate as quietly as 30.4dB(A) in sleep mode, which is comparable to the sound of flipping through a book, ensuring a peaceful environment.
Energy efficiency is a notable benefit of this dehumidifier. Thanks to its double variable frequency technology, this device works with great stability and adjusts its speed automatically, reducing the high energy use common with traditional dehumidifiers that frequently start and stop. When used continuously for eight hours in sleep mode, it uses only around 0.984 kWh, which could save up to 211 yuan ($29) on electricity bills each year.
Additional Features
Additionally, it has a built-in plasma generator that emits high-energy positive and negative ions for effective sterilization. Coupled with a dense silver ion filter, it captures large airborne particles and minimizes bacteria growth, making the air healthier to breathe. The antibacterial effectiveness against common germs like Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli is over 99.9%.
Ease of use is also a highlight, with a large LCD screen that clearly shows temperature and humidity levels. It supports HyperOS and Xiaomi’s Mi Home app for remote management and voice control through XiaoAi, enabling users to control their home humidity from virtually anywhere.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi also unveiled two new products: the Mijia Smart Steam Oven S1, featuring a 30L capacity, auto-cleaning, and voice command options, along with the Mijia Electric Steamer N1, which has a 13L capacity, 1500W power, and eight cooking settings.
