Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro worldwide, following its initial introduction in China last August. This new air compressor brings several enhancements compared to the earlier version.
Impressive Battery and Speed
The small device is equipped with a 2,500mAh battery, which allows it to inflate as many as 16 car tires or 30 road bike tires on just one charge. It can pump air into a 205/55 R16 car tire from 2.0 to 2.5 Bar in roughly 45 seconds, significantly quicker than the prior model that took two minutes. It has the capability to inflate tires to a pressure range of 0.2 to 10.3 Bar or 3 to 150 PSI, and it works effectively in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 45°C.
Versatile Features for Different Tires
The 2 Pro is designed with five inflation modes tailored for various tire types and sizes, allowing for personalized settings to fulfill different pressure requirements. It automatically shuts off once it reaches the set pressure, and users can see real-time updates on the display.
Additional Components and Charging Details
Notable features include a multi-mode indicator light for alerts and flashlight functionality, a USB-C charging port, and a compact design that makes it easy to carry around. The compressor has a rated input of 5V⎓3A and an energy rating of 27Wh, taking about 3.5 hours to completely charge. Its dimensions are around 152 x 100 x 63 mm, excluding the high-pressure air hose.
The package that comes with the Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro includes a Presta valve adapter, a needle valve, a storage bag, a fast-connecting air valve, a high-pressure air hose extension, a Type-C charging cable, and a user manual.
While the exact pricing and availability are still not confirmed, it is anticipated to be priced competitively, similar to the earlier model’s range of $45. In China, the Air Compressor 2 Pro is priced at 299 yuan, approximately translating to US$42.
