The Vivo X200 series is anticipated to debut in November. Recently, a mysterious vivo phone with the model number V2405A has secured radio certification from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This device is believed to be part of the vivo X200 series and is speculated to be the vivo X200.
Powered by Dimensity 9400 Chip
According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone does not support satellite connectivity but is expected to feature an enhanced “screen form”, a high-density battery, and an improved imaging system. The tipster further mentions that the device will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset.
Series Variants and Chipset Details
Previous rumors suggest that the vivo X200 series will include three models – likely the vivo X200, X200 Pro, and vivo X200 Ultra. The first two models are expected to use the Dimensity 9400. The Ultra model might be launched later with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. This would align with the release pattern of the vivo X100 series. For context, vivo launched the X100 Ultra in May this year, while the standard and Pro models were released last November. Additionally, there are speculations about a smaller variant, possibly named the Vivo X200 mini, which will feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K display and a 5,500 mAh battery. Performance Insights
Regarding performance, the Dimensity 9400 chip (expected to power the vivo X200, X200 Pro, and X200 mini) is built using TSMC’s second-generation N3 process. A GeekBench listing indicates that the prime core delivers 36% higher peak performance. It will be paired with the new Cortex-A725 and Cortex-A520 cores. Arm claims that the Cortex-A725’s performance efficiency is 35% higher than its predecessor, the A720, and the Cortex-A520’s energy efficiency has improved by 15%.
For display expectations, the vivo X100 series' standard and Pro versions, the vivo X100 and X100 Pro, come with a 6.78-inch micro-curved 8T LTPO panel with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. The Ultra model features the same-sized panel but with a higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. All models of the predecessor support a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
