TP-LINK has expanded its router lineup with two new models, the BE3600 (TL-7DR3650 Easy Exhibition Edition) and BE5100 (TL-7DR5150 Easy Exhibition Edition). Pre-orders are now open with prices starting from 279 yuan (approximately $40 USD). The company has also recently introduced the BE7200 router; for more details, check out our previous coverage.
Enhanced Wi-Fi Technology
The BE5100 supports Wi-Fi 7, which is a developing, faster standard in wireless communication. On the other hand, the BE3600 focuses on performance. Its MLO multi-link technology, which uses multi-frequency overlay transmission, offers speeds up to 5.2 times faster than conventional single-band routers. Built-in accelerators from various providers further boost gaming performance for consoles and PCs.
Extended Range and Connectivity
TP-LINK’s Xtra Range 2.0 technology extends the 5GHz band reach by 4.5 meters or allows it to penetrate an extra wall. This technology also improves weak signal analysis, enhancing performance at the network's edges. The BE3600 also offers flexible connectivity options, including customizable port functions, dual WAN ports for internet redundancy, IPTV support, port aggregation for combined bandwidth, and dedicated gaming ports. The “Yizhan” button simplifies the creation of a MESH network with multiple routers for seamless whole-home Wi-Fi coverage.
Future-Proofing with Wi-Fi 7
The BE5100 represents a significant advancement with its support for Wi-Fi 7. This router's design separates digital and analog chips, with the digital chip utilizing a 6nm process to increase efficiency. The analog chip features five front-end modules (FEMs) that provide a stronger signal. Along with 3×3 MIMO technology, this router promises substantial improvements in signal strength and data transmission compared to traditional routers.
Whether your focus is on raw performance, extensive coverage, or future-proofing with Wi-Fi 7, TP-LINK’s new BE3600 and BE5100 routers offer attractive options.
