Tesla Launches Optimus Robot Action Figure with Charging Stand

Tesla is stepping into the world of action figures with its own version of the second generation Optimus robot, which was showcased during the Robotaxi launch event.

Exciting Release

The Tesla Bot Action Figure seems like it could rival the well-known Optimus Prime figurine, especially given the buzz surrounding its release. Since its debut, there has been a notable level of interest from fans.

After the launch, the Tesla Shop website briefly crashed, indicating a high demand. Now, interested buyers will have to be patient until it is restocked. The price tag for the Tesla Bot action figure is a reasonable $40, which is quite a deal considering the usual high prices of their products.

New Features

Recently, Tesla shared a video highlighting the new abilities of the Optimus 2 bot, including its capacity to form a hive mind with other robots, allowing them to communicate about routes or tasks. It can also find its charging station autonomously and connect itself to the charger.

The charging device, which connects to the back of the Tesla Bot, is included in the action figure package. For added enjoyment, Tesla also includes a CyberHammer with the toy.

Attention to Detail

Tesla points out that the Optimus figurine has been "precisely engineered with over 40 individual parts and 20 points of articulation," allowing it to resemble and move like their Gen 2 humanoid robot. This sounds like it could provide hours of entertainment for enthusiasts.

In summary, if the 1:10 scale Tesla Bot action figure continues to be so popular, it could quickly become a sought-after collectable, potentially selling for much more than its initial $40 price.

Moreover, Tesla is also refreshing its performance vehicle diecasts. Both the Tesla Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid have new diecast versions available for $195.

High-Quality Models

These 1:18 scale models are designed by the Tesla Design Studio, with "every detail, curve, and surface replicated from the same 3D CAD data used to manufacture actual 2024 Model S Plaid vehicles," as noted by Tesla.

The diecast packaging comes with official Model S/X Plaid badges and decals, and fans have the option to choose from three original colors to match their preferences.
