Xiaomi has introduced new tablets to the Indian market, unveiling the much-anticipated Redmi Pad Pro lineup, which boasts impressive specifications and features at a mid-range price point. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about the Redmi Pad Pro and Redmi Pad Pro 5G.

    Specifications and Features

The latest Redmi Pad Pro series from the Chinese tech giant shares similar specs and features across its models. However, the base model is limited to Wi-Fi connectivity, whereas the 5G variant supports mobile networking (n1/3/5/8/28/40/78 bands). Both variants feature a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, Dolby Vision, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness.

These tablets are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. They come with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot up to 1TB. The 5G variant also includes a Hybrid Dual SIM tray (nano + nano / microSD), making it more versatile for on-the-go connectivity. Both models run on Android 14 OS with the HyperOS custom skin.

For photography, the rear of the tablets features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, while the front has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. A large 10,000mAh battery supports these devices, with 33W wired fast charging. The Redmi Pad Pro series boasts a slim 7.52mm metal body for a premium feel.

    Additional Features

The tablets also introduce Redmi’s first Smart Pen stylus, which offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, 5ms latency, and comes with the brand’s first keyboard cover (both stylus and keyboard cover sold separately). The devices include a quad speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos for a richer audio experience, along with dual microphones. However, they lack an official IP rating for water or dust resistance.
